Foo - Whatcha doin'?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Two rolling smilies in one hour - does that qualify me as a ROFLCOPTER?

Indeed...
BTW, I gots my Michelin Pro Race 2's in the mail. Woohoo! Hope I don't have to pump these up as often as I was pumping the old ones. Lots of tread left on the old ones, but I got tired of pumping them up every couple days.
Umm, jyo, isn't it the tubes that actually retain air? If your tire pressures are dropping more than 2-3 psi/day, perhaps try putting on new tubes. I'm pretty happy with Specialized's standard road tubes (0.8 mm thick butyl rubber). The weight weenie in me is considering their turbo tubes (only 0.6 mm thick) to save 20 grams per tube. Maybe if I get through my upcoming centuries with no issues with flatting, I'll give the thinner tubes a shot.
BDG and Flippin, if you want to augment the Foo crowd with another cool crowd to chat with, come visit us in the SoCal forum. We're nice people over there, and there's plenty of non-stuck-up female roadies for you to hang out with.

That was quite a tame thread by Road Cycling standards. I understand where those guys are coming from, but starting a thread on it seems kind of tacky. BDG - don't bother searching out the witness protection program. It won't be necessary.

It's really just the one disco-roadie from GA that's throwing gas on the fire...
I met him in person once...he's just a jerk when it comes to cycling and personal relationships.
Other than that, he's a nice guy.;)

It helps to have an excuse when you have a SO to explain it to. ;)
[e] BTW, I just got back from the LBS where the owner of a Bklyn Mach Works Park Bike was in w/ his bike doing an overhaul. He somehow cracked the bridge on a Marzocchi Bomber fork (the fork was in two pieces). At least he's riding that bike the way it was meant to be. I had mucho respect for that.

Yeah, if you break somethin' like that, you must be ridin' it right...or have defective parts.;)
I'm waiting on my best friend to gimme a call, probably grab a bite to eat in a bit.

Nitto stem, Nitto drops, NJS cogs, Sugino 75 cranks and chainring, DA lockring, Nitto seatpost.
OR
Campy Pista everything.
Glad to help.

Close. Was going to get the Nitto moustache bars, but $50 is a pretty steep price to pay for bars I don't even know if I'll like. I think I'm just gonna upgrade to better pursuit bars than the noodly pieces of crap I had, and the Nittos fit that bill. Most of the decent components are being swapped over from my old frame.

I wouldn't mind doing an Italian track build up. Campy Pista on a Pista Concept. Kinda like my Veloce w/ Campy Veloce.
I get a feeling I'll be a bit of an insomniac tonight since too much in the way of work/career concerns is on my mind. :( I need an on/off switch for my mind.
Wooo! First post from work! Unfortunately, my current setup in the back room next to the water cooler means people can come up behind me without me noticing. One day...one day I'll have my own cubicle...
