I usually shoot for 2k words at a sitting. If I'm rolling, that can be done in an hour. If not....all night.....

oh, Serendipper, you are much too organized for this! (teasing). my strategy is to not have a strategy. I just sit down and start typing. I usually have a guiding theme, but an outline? heaven's! I am certain that your finished product will actually be something that is readable. mine, however, will be 50k words all strung together like so much dyed macaroni shells that a kindergartener puts together.

I just finished two fantasy books by some author . I can't believe that author ever got published. Actually I can believe he got published, only because he was apparently some big time software creator for 2 decades:p BUT YOU GET THE POINT! He sometimes loses tack of himself mid-sentence or from one s entence to the next.

My bro picked it up at Waldens. Nobody else liked it.
That genre is about the only genre where I will read authors that should be shot, because I have pretty low expectations. When I'm readingg science fiction, which I no longer do it seems, I don't want to be reading about barbaric neanderthals and cannon fights like that daneil webber guy - or w/e his name is.

Argh, I'm trying to do some shopping on sierratradingpost.com. I got this 20% off coupon good only one time for first time shoppers. Then I clicked on some other coupon that said free shipping. It took off the 20% coupon. I saved a lot more with the 20% off coupon, but now it won't let me use it again. Just got back from a mountain bike ride. First time back on clipless since the accident! Those damn acorns and leaves are so slippery, though. I got caught in a slide on a descent and smashed my forearm and knee into a tree. The speed/power difference between platforms and clipless is insane. I don't know how I rode without them for this past month. I'm so glad I didn't have to work today!
