sounds like a reasonable way to get into it. I will give it a good try before hanging up the shoes. the shoes, by the way, rock! I wore them out of the store today, just like when I was a kid and mom bought me new shoes...!

Yea and take the running easy, just ask bdg, you can get injured so easily. Hold out stretches for at least 30 seconds!!

I had a pair of 100 dollar aasics, that were worn down, and a pair of worn down trail running new balance shoes. I then went out and bought a brand new pair of new balance running shoes, and they feel like heaven.

Trying to decide which laptop I want. All three choices with Merom processors. Differences are mainly in screen size and price, though the low end choice also uses integrated graphics.

Hah if you ever plan on playing any games then diss the integrated graphics. Course the non-integrated graphics does use, sometimes significantly more power.

I don't really game, but I'm leaning toward non-integrated graphics. That leaves me with deciding whether I want a 15" or a 17" and whether I want a 7200 RPM drive or a bigger 5400 RPM drive. Currently leaning toward 17" with a 7200 RPM drive.
Probably. 5400 rpm drives suck pretty hard core. Hopefully anything you have will have 2gb of ram or more.

2 GB RAM is a given. I doubt I'd splurge for more than 2 GB considering the sky high prices for 2 GB DIMMs for laptops.
