i hate houses that are built such that more heat is pumped on the 2nd level rather then the lower level, so the lower leel will be 7-8 degrees cooler then the warmer level. Did these people not take 3rd grade science. Heat rises. so your hottest air should be pushed from the bottom cause it will naturally rise.

Sadly this is one engineering idiocy that I do not think can be resolved.
Actually, cool air is heavier than warm air, and so it falls due to gravity, thereby displacing the lighter warm air upward.

But I agree, TG. HVAC principles are not well understood by a number of engineers who work in that field. Can't tell you how many offices and homes I've been in and had to cringe at the sucky design.

Not yet. Just got the freakin' tire off and to measure the well. But now I see that the tape there is actually in good shape but simply got displaced, probably by all the machinations I had to do to get the cursed tire back on the last time. :mad:

I'm gonna set if I can just reseat it and "roll with it," so to speak....

Meh. I have nothing more exciting to do this afternoon.

Tire, check. Tube, check. Rim tape, check. Kevlar strip, check. Tire jack, check. Tire tool to push tire up to lip of rim, check. Two sore thumbs to painfully push tire on over lip of rim, check. Pump, check. JackBlack to facilitate laughter instead of tears while doing this, check. :D

You can use electrical tape (or similar) to hold the strip in place.

The tube won't curl it up. Possibly the tire bead would - but if you press the tape down firmly, I doubt it will. Once it's on - be sure you never ride the bike with the tube under-inflated. That's when problems happen. :(

Well, life goes on. I'll have a real roadbike soon enough, and routine patches, etc., won't be such a big deal on the road. Which will definitely open up Vega's cycling horizons! :D :lol:
