Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I'm trying to decide whether or not to post any post-ride pics. I left the camera in the car, and it's, like, 30 feet away. Jeez, I don't know if I can make it.;) Anyway, I'm gonna shower first.
So where's the pics of the Dawg?

Man, all this talk of french toast, spaghetti, thin mints and cake is making me hungry again and I just finished dinner. Think I'll go eat ice cream and watch the rest of Harry Potter

Well, come on over. I'm cooking some spaghetti as we speak. Dinner. :) And watching the World Baseball Classic (Japan/Korea, evidently playing in San Diego).

I'm having a chocolate shake. Mmmm, good stuff!:D
So where's the pics of the Dawg?
On my computer's HDD. Hehe. I'll get 'em uploaded in a bit...but you're not gonna like 'em.:(
Eating dinner now. About 30% of the way through the pound of spaghetti. Haven't eaten like this for a month, so I'm not sure how much I'm actually going to eat. We'll see.
Oh, and the Japan/Korea game is looking to become a great pitcher's duel. Good fun to watch so far.

I'm watching my cat perform an unnatural act upon himself. I swear, he's absolutely shameless.
Hey js--what do you put on your pasta? Do you make a sauce, or just add a little butter and parmesan, or?
jyossarian
03-18-06, 08:56 PM
jsc: what kind of sauce? garlic & oil, marinara?
Karldar: got any hucking, jumping or north shoring shots? or are they all of you posing at starbucks? :p
I'm sure jyo's stuff tastes better. For that matter, so does RVAbatman's stuff, probably. Spaghetti is Barilla thick spaghetti, cooked just long enough to not be hard on the inside. Sauce is unheated Ragu spaghetti sauce. One jar poured over one box of pasta. Tonight is mushroom and garlic flavored marinara.
Korea just got out of a jam in the bottom of the 3rd. I guess I'm rooting for Japan seeing as my grandmother went to college in Japan. One of her close friends was the daughter of a Japanese admiral during World War II.

It's 2:20 am here and I decided it was a good time to swap out the brake levers on my Haro (Avid SD 2.0) w/ the new levers I got (Avid SD 7). I'll do the brake swap later today. One of the old brake levers and a front brake will go on the fixie and I'll just toss the rest in the spare parts bin.

Yay, "Whatcha doin'?" thread!
I'm checking BF, Myspace and getting ready to finish watching the 2nd season of Red vs. Blue so I can get to bed.
Recovering nicely after a trip to the chiropractor on Friday. It's grand to find a good old school bone-cracker. I can walk comfortably again,

Eating some chicken alfredo pizza.....I'll have to tolerate this crap until I can get a pizzeria here to replicate my favorite pizza of all time....the shorebird. Siu prolly remembers those....pizza agogo (now pizza my heart) made them...pesto sauce in place of the tomato sauce base, extra cheese, red onions, roasted chicken, fresh tomatos, and bacon....it was possibly the world's unhealthiest pizza....but also the tastiest :)
About ready to play some more video games, then later tonight, more housekeeping....guh...and I discovered I ran out of places to store my DVDs a long time ago....so I might end up going bob villa on some old furniture and turning it into a DVD rack.

I'm waiting on a phone call, surfing and trying to decide what to eat. Ooo, hot dogs! Maybe...gotta think about it. I kinda want breakfast, too.
jsc, how was french laundry?
Dining at French Laundry could best be summarized not as a spectacular meal, but as a memorable event. If you ever have the right occasion for it, I highly recommend dining there. Though it wasn't the primary reason for my trip, it alone would have been worth the trip. I'll probably start a thread about it later and put more details on my experience there so that more people can read about it.

Yep, Mondays are definitely dreadful. I have 38 minutes left and then its off to home I go.
Where I will subsequently continue doing more work. :(

I totally understand. :( Weekends go by too quickly, even when taking Friday evening and all of Saturday off. Or perhaps especially when doing so, since those weekends tend to be special and jam-packed. This weekend in particular.

I'm watching Big and contemplating bull horns for my fixie. I had to put the cross lever back on cuz the Avid lever was interfering w/ my hand and I can't move the lever over more cuz I chopped the handlebars to make them narrower.

Oooh the printing press. Reminds me of my old job where we did alot of work for a printing press. Sublets, PO's . oh man am i glad that's gone
lol
I had a weird dream last night and while I don't remember much, I do remember that I went to some college campus and when I came back out somebody had ripped the bike and the saris off of the back of my car, but half of the saris and half of the bike was still there. Like they couldnt figure out how to get it off. We then found the rest of the bike somewhere . Somebody ran a decoy while I grabbed the pieces. The bike was put back together but something was wrong with it.
When I woke up this morning, I walked around for a while and then i was like oh, i dont need to buy a new bike because it was all a dream.
Now I'm at work being bored, and I told myself i wouldnt be posting on BF this early because I was going to get actual work done.. Boy what a liar I was.

We hit a big wall with the P.O. I went with a little mom and pop place which really wanted the work.....problem is that they've never dealt with P.O.s. Oops. We're working things out though. *sigh*
I hate those dreams that are so real. I think the Tex that's inside of you really just wants a new bike....but you're lying to yourself so have yet to realize. LOL

What's an ETL process?
ETL stands for extract, transform and load.
Basically, I take data feeds and manipulate them in a variety of ways. Then eventually load them into a relational database.

I am also the backup IT person in my office. Get me together with our main IT person or the engineering group and you will be lucky if your head does not explode. :p
My wife has that issue when we have holiday parties. Not the head exploding part. :D The not understanding part.
Cool... if you're ever looking for a job in Boston, let me know.
 Yes, Lex, CompuGlish does seem to bear a bit of resemblance to English, doesn't it? "the level 5 raid array was reconstructed using the hot spare" only uses words commmonly found in the English language, and yet aside from "the" "was" and "using", the meaning would totally escape one who only speaks English.
