But it's all overtime. For bike parts. ;)
P.S. I'm willing to learn.

I'm reading BF, listening to...nothing(my CD's done), and drinking Beck's Dark(alternating with Shiner Bock) and wondering what Pogos are.
They're like corn dogs, but more Canadian.

Pogos is a brand of corn dog. I've never had them (food allergy) but Dear little one has them sometimes and they appear HORRIBLY greasy.
I'm checking e-mail and figured I'd check things out over here. Dear little one and I are having a girl day today. Should be fun.
Well, you obviously were looking at bad Pogos.
The good (Canadian) ones are grease-less.

I live in Canada....and buy them from the freezer aisle in the grocery store.....these were greasy. Maybe the ones sold in Canada aren't actually Canadian?

What a coincidence, I'm eating a Quaker breakfast square. And am also requiring tons of water. But then, I am just another part of your personality. :D

Weekend was good. DLO and I had a girl day yesterday which was very nice. Nice to spend one on one time with her after working all week.
How was your weekend?

It was a weekend. Spent too much time working and sleeping. Tried to go somewhere twice to socialize and failed miserably both times. Being in a new town and not knowing anybody sucks.

Listening to Karma Chameleon. Nice when the person next to me isn't here so I can actually listen to music. We just found out that they are trying to prolong the free extension for the wing that we are in. So i might hit the owner up and see if I can take one of the abandoned offices so I can listen to my music without disturbing his rap music.

Man, I hurt my back hauling that thing out. And somebody always comes and takes it back every single day. I feel like Pinky and Brain, except Pinky and brain only got exploded and squished. They didnt have to carry a vending machine every day, I don't think.

They were going to, but it was going to involve pub crawling, and that's totally not something i like, let alone enjoy doing. I had to turn that offer down because that's usually a situation where both parties aren't really doing something that one enjoys.

Heh. I'm half wondering how much it would cost to have them take my front bumper and front left body pieces off and replace them as the 2 are damaged. Of course if i did that then I'd need the door to be replaced. I honeslty think it would get extremely expensive real quick.

having something stuck in one's head that one has to get rid of can usually get annoying after a while

This day has strangely enough passed by quite quickly, up until I mentioned that it had. Now the last 15 minutes have drug on by. I still got 1 1 1/2 hours. I should probably actually continue doing some more coding so that time flies
Im bored so badly. Im waiting for a check in the mail. Its overcast outside. Im hungry with nothing to do.

I can't recall an episode where Pinky and the Brain had to carry a vending machine.

Well mayhbe that explains why my back hurts so much. I haul it out and hide it . and then when I'm not looking my alter ego, knowing where I hid it because she's my alter ego, comes back and drags it back.

I'm leaving in about two minutes. WHOO HOO! Which is a good thing as I'm about to get unfriendly with one of my co-workers who doesn't work in this office over some his inability to STFU.

So answer me this... a coworker recently accused chiropracters of being addictive. None of us have been so we have no hard data. Do you go regularly because... on a scale of one to ten, you normally felt like a 5 (let's say) (before you started going) and going to the chiropracter makes you feel like an 8, but if you stop going you're back to a 5? Or is it because if you stop you feel like a 2?

I go on a regular basis to a because I have a back condition caused by childhood trauma (at 3 years old I was thrown from a car in an accident and then hit by a car) which kept my spine from developing normally. I should have had surgery but didn't because my parents didn't think it a good idea.....good thing as that surgery now has crippled people. I go now for bi-monthly therapy so that my back won't go out when I try to do things and to keep the back strong and healthy. I've only been going regularly for a few years now.
The chiropractor that I frequent is a doctor and not a therapist.
A good friend is a chiropractor and she has said there are people who really don't need a chiropractor who come to her for the slightest muscles aches and pains. She's not complaining because she makes a ton of money off of those people but says that in a lot of cases what ails them could be cured by time.
Edit Forgot to mention.....I've always had back pain but since going to the chiropractor the severe pain in managed better and not as frequent.

So your friend's opinion is that a normal person shouldn't have to have "regular" chiropracter visits? They should go to get particular issues resolved (like back pain or whatever)?
TexasGuy

I don't go to a chiropractor for that reason.

Yep. People without back issues don't need chiropractor visits. She thinks that even a lot of back pain can be solved by icy hot or biofreeze. Chronic back pain warrents chiropractor visits to discover the cause of the pain.

I could probably afford to go since 2 of the accidents have made it difficult to bend my back in certain directions and doing certain exercises will cause me to not be able to walk. But I dont want to deal with trying to find somebody i trust, and I'm afraid of becoming addicted. I just try avoiding the exercises I know will hurt the back, and pray that I don't get sick and cough or sneeze alot.

Ohmygosh. That sounds horrible. No wonder our back hurts so much.
I don't think you can become addicted if your eyes are open.....if you don't need it, you don't need it and should just make appointments when it's an issue again....but that's just me.
Well, just got finished stretching after my ride.
I went to my last block class (which was jazz) and the teacher said that ok you are playing on this song Tank. So that meant, no class last block :D
I went home and straight to a ride. It was a kick ass ride, it was about 75 out, partly cloudy. ONly catch was the wind, parts there were way to many head winds. It was a fun ride because I took like three random turns where the roads looked nice and sure enough they all were great and they led me to where I was planning on going. It was only 22 miles though. But hey I rode :D
i'm wishing i could take the money i'm using to fix my car's broken front suspension and buy another bike instead.

Too late, I already paid for a new front suspension. Turns out I missed a recall on the front springs for the Focus and it bit me in the wallet. As is typical w/ problems like these, they happen at the worst possible time. As for getting something faster, I was eyeing a road bike... ;)
Well, you'll just have to keep living vicariously through me then. My BMW's service intervals (determined by the onboard computer and adjusted based on how the car's been driven) suggest that I'm driving my car harder than the typical BMW driver. Especially in the rate of wear on the suspension and emissions controls. And a bit less so on the projected oil change interval. I was also seeing some shocking brake life projections, but those projections have calmed down quite a bit after my SF trip. (Before the SF trip, the computer projected front brakes wearing out at 25K miles and rear brakes at 29K miles!) However, despite mostly highway miles, I managed that weekend to continue to shorten the projected mileage before scheduled service of oil, suspension, and emissions. Clearly, I'm driving the thing as it's intended to be driven. :D
Oh, back on topic...
Work's been rough, but I keep trying to get things to work. I'm kind of stressed, and without enough sleep, I haven't gotten on my bike in 2.5 weeks. (Not good! I'm having grave doubts about my ability to finish a hilly century in 1.5 weeks.) I had a short, much needed break from work last night and this morning when E-mail Penpal Girl was in town to visit me.

I am checking in to BF....glad to see everyone is still here! It was storming today after work which means no riding for this big ole' scardie baby (don't like to get hit by lightening!), which also means that I have some down time to see what is happening on good ole' Bike Forums.

I'm watching M*A*S*H and digesting dinner (broiled black cod w/ a soy sauce, lemon juice and honey sauce reduction, asparagus and rice w/ green beans).
[e] jsc - I just got the front suspension fixed. If I had my druthers, I would've bought an SVT suspension, then replaced the broke down old one w/ the sportier one.
I'm a bit frustrated at work. Happily, it's time to call it a night. I'm heading home, probably by way of a significant detour (by car, route undetermined) to destress a bit.
