Whew, DO NOT CHECK the 3rd shelf in your fridge. or that one shelf where you keep the "you know what" ;)
Don't worry. If anything does come up missing, I'll just blame it on my wife.;)

Sweet, as long as you have an air-proof excuse I guess I can help myself to more :D
I think you can get a "thingie" like TG's talking about fairly inexpensively nowadays. Do you have to burn CDs a lot?
Oh, and how was your trip? Or have you come down here yet? I haven't noticed any loot missing.;)
Nope....this is really a one shot for this sort of quantity. We're burning brochures in .pdf format for the advocacy packages. My laptop has a CD burner while co-worker (who is the graphic designer) computer does not. We priced this out and asked the city to pay a company and they decided that they already pay me so I may as well do it. :D
If you don't notice anything missing, you're not looking hard enough. The trip was okay. I made record time. 8 hours there (love the nighttime driving) and 9 on the way back. :D

He must not blame his wife....he must blame the right people. WE MUST HAVE RECOGNITION! *sob* Boy, this stalking thing is tough.

Sorry.;) She's still got a key so she can come get the rest of her stuff. No one will ever know you were here. She's the perfect scapegoat!

Eh, I'll let him blame somebody else. It just means I can get away with more before I get caught :D Then they go back and they're like whoa. it wasn't . man i'm so sorry and then I really rack up some major reputation as an evil dooer.
kay this is getting aggravating. This dude keeps telling me this stuff is ready for usage and i keep looking and its not and hes got 2 versions, one that is obselete and one that isn't. And the thing is I can't tell which one is obselete and which one is not.

Since you're the half of us that stalks, I'll just have to hide away and resent your lack of desire to be caught. *sigh*
I'll add him to my list of people to smack really hard and then run away.

Hey, nobody is smacking me really hard :\

jsc - you ready for Breathless Agony?
I haven't so much as touched the saddle of either of my bikes since April 8. :( Not even with my hands. I'm mentally ready and excited about the ride, though. There's nothing I can do about my fitness at this point. I'll just go plod along and hope for the best. 72 miles timed (with 12,000 vertical feet), 42 miles untimed. If one starts at 6 AM--the earliest start time--there's 9.5 hours before the cut-off. Assuming I climb at 2,000 feet/hour (before my sabbatical from riding, sustained about 2,300 feet/hour), I should have time to spare. If I'm at 1,700 feet/hour, I'll be cutting it close. I think I'm okay speed-wise... 1,700 feet/hour is slower than my first climb of Baldy, where I sat back and rode "relaxed tempo" the whole way and took 2:50. Endurance-wise, well, nothing I can do about it this week.
It should be an interesting Saturday. I'm hoping success there will help revive my cycling.

YOU CAN DO IT JSCHEN!!!!!!!!!!
:D
Thats why I started commuting to work every day on my bike. Because here in ghetto ass Houston, its realy the only way I can get any solid cycling in. Now I get 12 miles a day every day. Not the 24-50 I'm used to and no 50-80 on the weekend, but oh well. H-town sucks assssssss.

I think the only time you'll see Terry Morse is at the beginning of the ride. Good luck and make sure you check out your bike before you ride. Afterall, it's been neglected for almost a month! ;)

I just finished a toasted garlic bagel w/ lox spread cc. I'd have shared Lex, but I just read your post about lunch.
That I'd only see Terry at the beginning (or near the beginning as he flies by if I start earlier than him) was a given anyway. He's been complaining about how his sustained climbing rate is down in the mid-3,000's vertical feet per hour. For me, that's an all-out out of the saddle effort. I can only dream about such sustained climbing rates.
Yeah, I'll be sure to check out the bike and check over my list of stuff to pack this week.

Jeez, that's a lot of climbing. I think my car would run out of breath trying to climb that fast. Speaking of stuff to pack, I gotta go shopping for Snickers, bananas, gatorade, cinammon raisin bread and nutella for my ride this weekend.

Just moved offices. I picked the worst possible spot for my desk. Staring right out at the sun which is all cloudyh. Its wreaking havoc on my eyes and my ability to concentrate.

I just finished making pesto for lunch tomorrow (prosciutto and mozarella w/ pesto on olive pockets) and I have more than I need so I guess it's going on my dinner tonight too (salmon w/ orzo pesto and veggies). Now I'm going out for a ride.

Sure. Leave $5 under your pillow and in the morning there'll be under your pillow waiting for you. :) BTW, I'm back from my ride. My headlight's batteries went dead so I cut it short. Plus it was dinnertime.

Taking a break at work. Don't want to go to dinner since I don't have much work left, so I'd rather just get it done and not have to come back later tonight.
Just looked over the ride profile for Breathless Agony. Okay, maybe slacking off on my riding the last two months wasn't such a great idea. :( I'm starting to get a bit concerned about the time cutoffs. On paper, I'm okay, but as I fatigue and as the higher elevations take their toll, I'm not so sure. As a bit of added insurance, I'll definitely be planning to start right at 6 AM.

Start off strong so as you slacken, you're average climbing rate will be around 1800'-2000' per hour. Start the carbo loading a few days in advance and start eating bananas now until the ride so you'll have enough potassium floating around to fend off the cramps. And take a long ride tomorrow then take it easy until BA. You need to get your legs acclimated to riding again.
Just started new job.....no time to browse BF.net anymore :(
On a good note, looking forward to the 5 Borough Bike Tour this coming weekend!

Same thing I did yesterday, Pinky. *sigh* One day this too will end.

The Animaniacs movie is on every year at Christmas but otherwise I haven't seen the show aired. Loved that cartoon and wish it was on so I could watch it with the kidlet.

Maybe we should petition whoever owns the rights to put it on DVD.
You have a kid?
