Foo - Whatcha doin'?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hey Vega, hey Cycle!!
Every time I go hang out with Jon SOMETHING happens. Remember we ran out of gas last time? Remember he almost decapitated me? Remember the infamous flat with no rim tape? Oh and I didn't even post pics of the time he got his bag caught in the window of his car...*sigh* Why do I do this? Whyyyyyyyy????? I need a life.
Just be sure to have your Spidey senses on alert today. :D
I noticed how you said you NEED to ride today. If I was in your shoes, I'd NEED to rest today. You go girl!!!! :D
I need to ride just to feel the endorphins. Road cycling is almost like a drug.... :D
........and who is this guy??? ;)
<curious Vega look>

If cycling is a drug, road cycling must be Lunesta or some other sleep aid, while mountain biking is like an acid-laced crack/meth infused joint...or something like that.

cat, that's what I understand. Amazingly, there seemed to be more Cervélos out there than anything. I wish I'd had my cameraphone while we were standing on the infield, watching bikes and forms of the riders whizzing by (by that late, it was mostly the fastest riders). I saw Tsunami, Ridley, Felt, Rivendell, Legend, and numerous others, in addition to the usual Cannondale, Trek, Specialized, Bianchi, etc. Many were high-end roadbikes, but there were a number of real TT bikes. Very impressive. The guy I talked to who recommended Specialized was riding a Ridley TT bike.

Road cycling is highly refined, purified, 100% pure essence of whatever chemical substance causes ones brain to experience complete and total happiness.
Mountain biking is like heroin cut with Drano and crushed glass and dust mice.

Taerom, road cycling is more like Heroin! The endorphins produced by long term high intensity effort do a real good job of making you feel good, and there is nothing like riding in a pack!:D

Ahhhhhhhh this insomniac finally got seven hours sleep. The Lord knows I needed it. Why? Because I get to see Jon today and go fake bike shopping. Yep. Hoo Boy. My life is a thrill.
It's a 2006 Fuji Team RC frame and Rival components coming via FedEx. Had to take the whole day off from work because at 6am both said they were out for delivery and someone has to be here to sign for them. Gonna go get it built up tomorrow and will have pictures posted soon of the new ride.

Really... But if you were, and you were good at handling it, you could go around in traffic and ride pretend you are drunk and freak out all the drivers! Heck I did that when I was test riding that evil road bike last month. All the drivers stayed back!! It was hilarious!!:roflmao:
That was another Jon/Siu adventure.

Red Skelton did a brief sketch once...He said, "Here's a drunk walking" and he staggered like the caracature of a drunk. "Same drunk in an earthquake", he walked normally.
I guess you had to be there.

Ridleys are nice bikes!
I still haven't bought that Soma....I'm about to just buy a Ridley Triton frameset to give my roadie a new start at life....$600, and comes with a headset....I'd have to add a new stem and spacers as well, but that's alright.
*sigh* Going to class now, see y'allz later. *waves*

Procrastinating at work I have to complete my mid year self assessment of myself.
I really hate having to do this; off course I will say I am wonderful :) , proving it is the hard part.:p

Argue with yourself, threatening to have yourself fired. See what arguments you can throw up to counter the firing.
Going to watch Borat now, be back in a while...

Still waiting for results from last night.
On a happy note, I did tell a BF'er who's one of the many great volunteers at the TT series that they need webcams there. One on start/finish and one somewhere on the track, so that our fellow BF'ers could watch us killing ourselves every month! We'll see if anything comes of it. :)

Oh fine. Whatever roadie.
Anyways. I was on highway 4 and what happens? My car dies. Freakin' awesome. So after trying about 10 times to restart it, it starts. Then I rev it for about 5 minutes and the battery light goes off. I can't go back to the house to get my stuff so I make it three exits down to the bart station where the car dies again and I coast perfectly into a spot. Once I get home, my brother isn't there to get me. He's not home. Great. Ok. So I start walking........ hour later........ Oh cool I'm close to home and someone calls me and gets me.
*rips out hair*

Jon why didnt you call me? I didn't know the car broke down. So is the car still at BART? Do you want me to go get it for you? It's not the best part of town to leave it in. You are leaving for a week and a half and I guarantee it will be gone in three days. Don't forget I have the spare key.....;)
I'm off to go play some floor hockey. Grrrr...don't like late games...
