Foo - Whatcha doin'?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Only?
I haven't run that much since I first got here.
It went great. 52 minutes solid of suffering. Punctuated by jokes.
She touched my thigh.
We're riding together on Saturday.
Congratulations on the thigh contact.....were you lying on the ground and screaming in pain when it happened? :D

Speaking of the thread that wouldn't get him a date with a Baby Alive doll.......do you have a recipe for that chicken soup with lemongrass and chilis, Jyo? That sounded really good.

Sorry Lex, I only use recipes when I bake. For the chicken soup, you're going for sour, hot and cool (lemongrass, chilis and cilantro). You can make your own broth w/ some chicken bones/carcasses or get some low sodium broth. Instead of adding rosemary, thyme, etc., just add bashed up lemongrass stalks (bashing them releases the oils), and sliced chili peppers (the seeds and white part are the hottest so leave them in or take them off). You may want to put tie the lemongrass stalks w/ some kitchen twine and put the chilis in some cheesecloth to make fishing it out easier. Bring to a simmer, add chicken and cook til chicken's done, season to taste, fish out the lemongrass and chilis and add a handful of cilantro. Enjoy!
I forgot, you should also throw in some fresh sprouts after you pour the soup in a bowl along w/ some mint leaves. You can serve over rice noodles to make chicken noodle soup.

That is why I keep it simple :D
Just had breakfast with my coworkers. I had brought in some Julian apple pie from my after-work drive to Julian last night. Taking the long, windy route, I got to Julian at 7:45, and when I asked at the general store for recommendations for dinner, the cashier told me everywhere's probably already closed. So I bought a pie as back-up for having pie at dessert. Drove around, and indeed, other than Subway, everywhere was closed. Grabbed some dinner on the way home, then had a healthy serving of pie. I'm not about to eat two pounds of pie myself, though, so I brought the rest in this morning.
Now to get work done...

Start cooking chicken in frying pan (i put water in here sine they're frozen) .
Dump some water in large cooking Pan
Bring it to a boil
drop noodles in
Chop carrots and celery to need,
Add Salt and Pepper to taste
When chicken is complete pull off, dice and smice and drop into strew
Drop in a container of chicken broth
Add chicken bouillon
Let simmer
:D
Some steps can be interchanged :D And quantities are not defined :D

Both teh sux0r and really cool. There's nothing like waking up and driving around town when everybody is asleep. Nothing like working while everybody else is asleep.

I used to work midnights back in the college days and loved it. You tend to easily lose track of time working midnights though.

No, silly. The restaurants were already closed at 7:45 at night when I got there last night. Bought some pie to take home as a result. Ate some last night. Shared the rest with my coworkers this morning. They're looking forward to my next spur of the moment trip to Julian since I might bring back more pie. Since getting my car, I've made three trips to Julian. It's the first time I've brought back pie, though.

When is it? We're sorta nearby and I have a whole captive audience of cyclists coming up pretty soon here.
Taking a quick break and trying to figure out how to find some Boston-area Java application developers for a company that I consult for. You would think that ads in the subway and local newspapers and generous referral bonuses would mean a steady supply of applicants. But I guess not, seeing as they just doubled the referral bonus. I really want to get a referral bonus (one referral equals about one year's consulting income!), but my network is largely in other fields and other geographical locations.

Gosh, what a freaking hack. Spent 30 minutes trying to get Opera to freaking rerender properly when a bunch of nodes were removed. Kay Im gone .
http://www.dice.com/ :D
We're already using H3.com instead. And I need to use those channels to get the newly doubled referral bonus. (The original amount for myself, matched by an equal amount split by the chain of people that leads to finding a hire.) The hard thing is that the people in the company run in largely the same circles as myself, except they're in the Boston area and in the computer science field. So I need to find people that they haven't already gotten to. Which is really hard to do.
