Feel better BDG!
I just finished dinner and now all I wanna do is go to bed and it's only 9 pm. I need to catch up on my sleep.

And wondering what working graveyard would be like...
I like it, actually. I work 2145 to 0630(give or take an hour or so here and there). I sleep during the day, naturally. Traffic is much lighter going to work, too. My favorite part is probably being able to run errands/make appointments and not have to worry about taking time off from work. Plus, I get paid more to work nights. Plus, I like my job, which is always nice.;) It's pretty physical, and I don't get to play on the computer, but it helps keep me in somewhat decent shape...need to spend more time on the bike, really.:o

Can you drive a forklift and lift 70lbs? If so, Siu might have a job for ya there Karldar. Then you can go riding w/ your twin Konas.

I'm stuck in Detroit, on business, very far away from my bicycles, with beautiful weather the past three days. I am soooooo not happy about that.
Jyossarian, didn't realize you had a fixie. Do you have a pic? I always wanted to "try" riding fixed. Post up a pic, I'll keep my eyes out for you. I'll be on the green LeMond. My buddy will be riding a black Rockhopper. Keep an eye out for me!

Will do Cadd. And the pic of my fixie's in my sig. Click on the Rob Roy to check it out. Weather's shaping up so it looks like I'll be riding it fixed. See you there!
Nice!
I see you like blue bikes! Hey, last time I rode with you......were you riding the Haro? I don't remember it being blue. Well, to be honest, it was 20 degrees out and it was pitch black at 6pm back then.....so I didn't notice it.
BTW, nice B.17! I have one too :) But mine has under 40 miles. So, I'm using this ride, hoping to break in the B.17 some more.

Yup, that was the Haro you saw. I didn't have the IRO back then. And the B17 is comfy, but has some scratches on it from when it was on my roof rack and I drove into a low hanging sign telling me how low the sign is. How do you like the Lemond? I was thinking if I ever got a steel road bike, it'd be either a Lemond or a Bianchi. BTW, if you wanna try giving the fixie a spin, you're more than welcome. Just remember you can't coast so don't stop pedaling or it'll remind you real fast.

you can get hurt real easy if you push too hard.. I didnt get hurt real easy.. that was years of running and doing the boston marathon on top of it.. the pain comes and go.. as with a lot of runners, knee problem is a big risks after a while of running.

Speaking of travelling for business, I've been told I have to go to the DC area for a meeting. So basically I have to spend about 4-5 hours travelling there and back for a 1-2 hr. meeting. Sounds like a real productive use of my time to me. :p

Apparently, not everyone knows where the 212 is. It's the area code for Manhattan which is usually associated with NYC.

It's nice here, too, blonduathlongrl. Soon I'll be doing some training in the Central Maine hills. I'd like to stay and chat, but I have to board a bus. I'll be gone for a while. Have a good day, everyone!

I know I read somewhere on BF recently about taking some kind of supplement that helps out the cartilage or ligaments surrounding the knees. I'm sure if you don't already know what that stuff is, a little searching on BF will yield the answer.

You mean: que son copas Mexicanas? Margaritas o granitas pueden ser, pero me gusta mas las cervezas Mexicanas, como Dos Equis o Corona (con una lima).

Cinco De Mayo? Wow. I guess Houston has no <3 for Hispanic Culture. heh . In san antonio you would hear and see about Cinco De Mayo on the radio, billboards etc. I have heard nothing this time.

It's a bigger holiday in the US than in Mexico. Mexicans are genuinely puzzled that we took such a minor Mexican holiday and turned it into an excuse for drink specials.

Meh...that's kind of how the dice are rolled...if you pick the continent, they send you where they have jobs open. Mostly, E. Europe is a cool place, and I learn another language through immersion, which is always cool.
