Just finished making lunch for tomorrow (prosciutto and mozzarella w/ tomatoes and balsamic vinegar on a semolina roll) and ate a PB&J sandwich for a snack. Time for bed. G'nite all!

Good morning, all! BF is back up. :)

Didn't ride this morning because I was really tired. I plan on making up for it tomorrow (my discretionary ride day), then resting Saturday to help my chances of getting up Baldy on Sunday.

moving out of my dorm!!!
my last test is tomorrow afternoon. i'm moving my stuff out today and spending the night at my friend's house. and since traffic is going to suck when i get out of the test tomorrow i'm spending friday night at his place too and just leaving saturday morning.
unlike everyone else, i have no parents here to help me pack, most of my friends are gone already... ive been packing my car up since early yesterday evening. doing this myself is kind of depressing.
and after i leave here, i'm one step closer to not being a vcu student - just one test away from never coming back to this school.
and i'll miss richmond and visit a few times and then ta-da i'll be back august first...

oooh boy. this is a weird day.

Just came back from Central Park. Did a couple laps and had the following conversation w/ a roadie on a Specialized Allez at a red light. I caught him looking at the cog and probably wondering where the rest of the gears were.

Me: Hey, how ya doin'?
Him: How ya doin'? <Leans over> Fixed gear or singlespeed?
Me: Fixed gear.
Him: Cool.
Me: <Motioning towards his bike> Carbon fiber or aluminum?
Him: Aluminum. Cheaper.
Me: Cool.

Then the light turned green and we wished each other a good night and went our separate ways.
ohhh brother... are you conversations always this ineresting?:p

I missed you BDG and BF all day. And it's still slow and flaky at times. I'm trying to stay awake at the office and watching the clock until it's time to go home. I even did work today, but that got boring real quick. Make sure you ride tomorrow jsc!

Haha, yeah packing up always is depressing. I think every time I've moved i've gotten depressed/silent while packing.

It's 11:30 and I already finished mine :) Often times, I just skip it but today my commute was 24 miles instead of the usual 10 with a couple of steeeep climbs in the last 5 miles which is what got me very hungry.... ... And I'm still hungry unfortunately. Could deffinitely eat more.

We have a snack bar here that is stocked with rice krispies, popcorn, quaker oats stuff. We just ran out of Quaker Yogurt bars :( And we're about to run out of Trail mix. Need to get somebody to make a run for us soon :D

Not currently. I'm also going to have to hit the street with advocacy packages next week so after that I'll have to burn as I go. The project ends on August 19th so I'm guessing they'll still be burning CDs long after I'm gone. *sigh*

Yep. Up to 178 now.

This area lost its first (in the history of the service) police officer in the line of duty this week and his funeral was today. It was broadcast on the local television station and shown in the boardroom and breakrooms so I cut out to see a bit of that. Very tragic and sad.

i haven't eaten in about 20 hours now and i'm kind of hungry...
i'm waiting for a friend to get back into town cuz he promised me lunch
i have good self control - wow. i just chew gum to fight the hunger haha. plus, the only place to eat is up at the dining hall and thats a walk im not willing to make.

That is so tragic. My condolences to everyone there.

It hit hard. He was off duty in a neighborhood in which he'd been born and raised and happened upon a store hold-up. The suspects were found with crack and one was the son of a man who'd played football in high school with the victim. He had two children (7 - or turned 7 the day after the shooting and 9).

As long as there aren't any stops that's not bad. My biggest problem is the stops. Come to a rest and sit there for 30 seconds to 1 1/2 minutes. Thats when the sweat settles in. Today I went through a orange light that turned orange a tad earlier. And becdause I did this I broke the cycle and was able to speed through most interesections or capture them just as they were turning green. Much less stopping and resting and when I got in to change I was not even sweaty despite the sun being out earlier and hotter then it has the last couple of days.
