I was all set to work from home today and was all warm in my bed and ready to catch another hour of sleep when I remembered my new laptop has a different shaped power plug from my old one and I left the power adapter at the office. So here I am in the office on a wet, humid day. At least I finally stopped sweating. Good morning all.

A friend of mine had a coupld of her Ukrainian and Russian friends up here last weekend. All of them had really heavy accents. All married, of course. Still, I thought I was going to die.

what makes them so alluring is that they are so vague to understand that everything they say can be interpreted the wrong way and you can make "hi How are you?" sound like "hey I really like you.." I know that in my case, ,many people tell me things i have said that I never even said...

Maybe. But I think it's more than just sexual/platonic attraction. I work with a lady from Israel. I don't really care what she's talking about. I could just sit there and listen to her speak. Of course, when the speaker is attractive, it makes it all the better.

However, and oddly enough, I personally only react that way to Western accents. Might have something to do with how similar all the languages are.

I don't know. *shrug*

I consider myself to be a software developer and web developer but most of my money is made doing web related stuff. Think of Ajax appliations like Google's GMail and Maps and etc. Right now I'm doing stuff like that for my primary employer except for a specific specialized software. Bringing their application from the early 90's to the 22nd century.

On the side I develop e-commerce and business sites for companies and individuals.

Oh, and good morning to all that have come aboard in the last hour.

jyo, I should note that the PR is a bit of a silly comparison since it was set with a windbreaker on for much of the ride. But there's no other benchmark time for me to compare against since my best time before it got cold (by SD standards, of course) was in the 1:06's. I'm still uncomfortable on the steep Soledad climb, so there's still quite a bit of time to be gained if I get my climbing back on form. For now, though, I'm very happy with any day I'm in the 1:04's.

Yay! Our lab's monthly donuts (to celebrate the birthdays for the month) is today. :D Time for a second breakfast. One advantage of 40-odd people in the lab is that statistically, we're very likely to have a birthday every month.

Heh, the last place I worked at did that. The whole floor would have a monthly birthdy cake. They also did snacks every friday morning.

He used to use the sliding door as a treadmill. it was soo fun to watch him stand up and scratch on it. Even funner to get mad at him, pick him up and toss him over the porchb and then hear him come back with this really forlorn mreow.

Hello, all. Hope all is well today for you. I can't spend much time online as I'm packing to leave for about a week for a bicycle vacation on Mount Desert Island. The eye doctor says it's OK for me to go as long as I follow the prescription he gave me. I'm including my rain suit just in case there is inclement weather. The only thing in that event is that I cannot wear my ocutech (eyeglasses with mounted telescope) so I will just make myself more visible, take it easier, and not ride like a bat out of hell. Should it be too wet, there are plenty of things I can do while staying in Bar Harbor.

Coffee...It's good depending upon how it's made. I like it too.

Thanks for all the moral support from everyone...You know who you are.
