Yay! Our lab's monthly donuts (to celebrate the birthdays for the month) is today. :D Time for a second breakfast. One advantage of 40-odd people in the lab is that statistically, we're very likely to have a birthday every month.
Ha! We have cake and ice cream every month(birthdays or not). Sometimes we even get to make our own banana splits! That's my favorite!:D

So today was supposed to rain, but it was pretty sunny out when I woke up around noon. After trying unsuccessfully to be lazy all day, I went and got my car's oil changed, went to a bike shop, saw that it was full of people buying bikes and decided that yeah, I'd go for a ride. Went to Central Park to do a couple easy loops and saw: bicyclists, runners, kids, families, tourists, roller disco'ers, volleyball players, sun bathers and of course, fencers. It was too nice out to come home, but I finally dragged myself back home. According to my cyclocomputer I did 12+ miles in just over an hour eventhough I was at the park for 2.5 hours. It's a beautiful day.

Yeah, I forgot how Central Park gets full on nice weekends. It was fun and too nice to go hard so I took it easy and just soaked it all in. You'd have enjoyed it.

I'm stuck with housesitting. That's what I gave my mom for mother's day. A break from her usual routine. So, instead of partying like it's 1999, I'm doin' chores like it's 1839.:) Well, supervising the hiring of chores getting done (carpet cleaning, landscaping, etc., which is even more boring. I did promise to mop the )kitchen tonight, and I'm currently watching the pot roast for tommorow's feast. Ever watch a roast?:( More fun watching corn grow..

This weekend eh?....Let's see:
Friday: went to that fru-fru place for fru-fru pizza then had to bring things back down to reality with a couple of Guinness at my favorite pub in town with some really fun people.
Saturday: did the Breakfast Ride with another group of really fun people, then spent the afternoon pulling weeds out of the flower/weed gardens.
Sunday: worked....bah/humbug!

What did y'all do? surely you had a more exciting weekend than I did!

That must be why I've felt like i've been in the dump for so long. Tell the rain to go away and come again another day. We're all waiting for the sun :D
