Foo - Whatcha doin'?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Cool Ms. Gio. Sleeping usually helps any kind of pains especially headaches. I have to sleep to get rid of migraines. Have a good day! :)
Glad you got some good rest and repair, Ms. Gio! Hopefully your head can stay clear of such badness tonight.

Good afternoon Foo,
Thanks for the support from those who gave me info on relieving my headaches. It means a lot. You all won't believe me but, I jwoke up about 2-3 hours ago. After taking my meds last night I was knocked out. Thankfully, I didn't wake up with a headache. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday.
Ciao.
YAYY!! :)

You did such a good psychic job last night on her, I hope you'll send me some kick patooty vibes during my next TT. :D June 27. Wednesday. I start at 18:30:15 EST. :)

Personally, I'm crossing my toes. Crossing one's fingers makes it notoriously difficult to type.
I'll cross my legs for you Gio, I need to relieve myself, but am too lazy to stand up. :o

Did you clog the toilet? *hee hee*
I'm trying to eat apricots. My friend owns an orchard and I picked 60 lbs worth to share with everyone. I kept the over ripe ones so as not to give them funky fruit so now I'm forcing myself to eat them all before they go bad.

Oh and Steve. Foowomanitarian award you mean right? :p
I'm reading a post from Mountain bike review in a thread where some guy is complaining that roadies never wave back when he tries to be friendly towards them.
"Roadies in general aren't nice. Roadies are to a large extent people unhappy with their lives, unhappy with the lack of success and lack of attention. If roadies were good at anything, they wouldn't have picked up road cycling in the first place, they would have done team sports, and if they were endurance talents with great bodies, they would be into track and field. Roadies are miserable, that's just the way it is. At least that is the way it works for me."
 that was harsh.

I'm reading a post from Mountain bike review in a thread where some guy is complaining that roadies never wave back when he tries to be friendly towards them.too funny and definitely too harsh. I started out a roadie, went to off road, and now I'm back a roadie. In the northeast, I've found mtbr's to be somewhat less tightly wound than the roadies I've hung with. Now keep in mind, I was with mtbr's in NH and roadies in NY. These days, though almost everyone waves back :D

Cut them in half, pit them, and freeze them.

I feel like I'm being pitted. Ughhh.
Will freezing them make them mushy when I thaw them?

Glad to hear you're feeling better. My wife has been in the hospital since Tuesday with another migraine. I spent part of my day fighting with the doctor. I won.

Lately you've been cracking me up Ritehsdad. Especially that comment about Paris Hilton.
Hope you're wife's ok. Is there anything they can do to stop this from happening so regularly?

I'll insert my standard response to the term "menopause" here.
Why's it called menopause? "Pause" implies that it's going to start back up again. Shouldn't it be called "menostop"?

Actually, I don't mind doing laundry.
Me either. But it involves getting up, and going over there and all of that. It's so much easier to sit here and not do it. ;)

Sittin' here bein' glad I'm not riding for the Commerce Bank race tomorrow in Philly. Ten laps with The Wall (http://www.procyclingtour.com/course_map.cfm/race_id/6) in the way each time- 156mi for the men, 57.6mi for the women (what's up with that???). At least it won't be too hot, though.
It was very cool being passed on my ride this AM by the various teams doing practice laps, though.

RDad- best wishes to your wife! MPause (sorry- couldn't resist) is really weird- it's tough being female (not that I would know, except my wife's going through it as well).
Get the biggest engine bike you can afford. That way you won't need to spend too much to upgrade.
Something tells me that's a bad idea.
Depends on your definition of bad.

Thanks for asking- I forget where I posted it, but it might have been in this thread! It went great, thanks! Of course, I had to pick one of the hottest days so far to do it, but I just pushed the fluids and the lytes and I was good to go. Let me see if I can reconstruct: 66.16 (I think) miles, avg speed 11.2 (I think), about 20mi on packed and unpacked gravel, so not too bad, I guess. I'm going to be doing another one next Sunday- it's Philly's Freedom Valey Ride, so this will be a group, not solo.
I don't know if you saw my post, but super congrats on your win last weekend!!

MBLover, looks like a pretty good ride, though I don't know MTB'in' from the sound that my tower computer just started makin'.
EGAD. That's loud and annoying.
Let me be brief, then. Got some potentially negative news from a friend who is the wife of another friend of mine. This man has ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease. She has had to take him back to the hospital again, second time in a couple of months, and she feels they're on a downward tract. He also said something to her about a month ago, when everything seemed to be going ok. We both think this bodes rather ominously, and are both scared witless about it. In the meantime, this friend of mine, just outside of DC, is gettin' her Bianchi tuned up for the road, anticipating the worst, and knowing, as I do now, that she will need to ride.
Sorry, Foo, for not being more upbeat. But my heart, in this moment, hurts for my two friends. The one who is close to losing his life, and the one who has done everything she could, and who must continue living, regardless of what happens in the next couple of weeks.
I have to sleep now. Did not do so last night, or today. I'm truly exhausted, in every sense of the word. And I MUST ride tomorrow. Haven't ridden since Wednesday night.
Everyone else, please carry on as usual. I just don't know where to cut it short with regard to what's going on here.

I'm sorry, Vega. ((hugs)). I'll talk to you later. Get some rest. You didn't sleep last night. :o

Yikes, I'm sorry, Vega. I don't know what else to say, aside from seconding what js said, and hoping you at least get some rest in.
Hi Foo,
I jsut got home from another night's work at the bowling alley. Let me tell you, clashing of bowling pins and crying babies gives you headaches. I had a slight one while working but it's gone now. *phew* So, how is everyone doing?
Evening, Ms. Gio, glad to hear you're feeling well tonight. :)
