Ever get the feeling that a one-eyed cat is watching your every move?
They are trying to make me accept a major pay cut and my salary is already at $ 0.00 and they are asking me to take a 50% Pay cut! And this will not be tolerated. *starts handing out signs*
What if they give you a 1,000% pay raise instead?

Headhunters often get 40% of the first three months' salary. Jschen deserves at least that. lex should get 30% for pain and suffering (not sure whether she received it of inflicted it :p), I'll claim 10% - just because. And that will leave TG with the remaining 83%.

Heh. Yeah headhunters and recruiters suck. I was told that recruiters usually get 20% of your income for a year. I'm like damn between taxes and their cut you're back to making 10 bucks an hour :(

My friend picked it up for me a few weeks ago...it's mainly dance remixes of popular songs, they're really funny :they've got "California Dreamin'" "Sugar Sugar" and "One Night in Bangkok" on there. The most fun to dance to is the remix of "Dragostea Din Tei" (enter a google search, you already know which song it is). Very addictive.

Yummmm, that sure sounds good, keep the light on for me, it'll take me a little bit to get there.

Oh yea, I know that one. I remember my sister showed it to me some time ago.... I could only catch a few words. I though it was a weird song... and slightly annoying :o
Anyhoo, right now I'm too hot to go to bed. They measured a record high temperature in P-town for May 15th (I think it got up to 90 :( ) and I was overheated after my ride home from work. 90 is not that big of a deal in general but the temps increased drastically in pretty much a day leaving no time to acclimate :(
I don't think I'll go to bed soon... I'll go eat some papaya, I guess

I was five. My parents moved to Penfield. Six years after that, they moved into the city.
If you find an old-timer who's lived there for a long time (and doesn't have Alzheimer's), ask them about "Dog and Suds" (it was a drive-in restaurant near the border with Gates).

Approximately 30 minutes I think. I think the ride home is a bit less because there seems to be fewer car stops. I average 17+ miles an hour however there are alot of stop lights which are what add to the time. And i'm not one of those people who jumps on and off the side walk in hopes of going through a red light. I need to be careful at this one intersection though. It always has traffic moving and then as it turns it comes to acomplete stop. I nearly creamed myself on the back of a van.

Ouch. Gotta be careful. If I could pass for 9 years old I might ride on the sidewalks. I can't so I don't because it's against the law.....no matter how scared I might get on the road.

It would be so interesting to find a place that was non-commuting friendly and see how I do on it. It seems no matter where I go I am capable of usually cycling on the roads with normal traffic without a problem. I wonder if there is a lot of unconscious perception that both the driver and the cyclist pick up that affects how each treat and regard the other.

I'm having my morning coffee, checking BF and wondering whether I should buy another video game or re-play Tombraider. I finished it last night and on the whole, it's as good as the first one, but the graphics are better and the controls are smoother and simpler.

In the research for the advocacy package, I found this to be a generally held viewpoint. If the cyclist obeys the rules of the road and acts as a road vehicle, the motorist treats the cyclist as a road vehicle. I don't know how true this is as there are jacktushes everywhere....but still.

You should buy another one - or play Tomb Raider again - or rent the movie. I liked the Tomb Raider movies but I suck at video games.....and I don't mean just a little bit - I'm terrible. The only game I was ever good at is in the dump with the Commodore 64 we used to have. It was a Donkey Kong like Wizard game.

Note to any guys trying to woo peregrine: she really likes papaya. She always seems to be writing about eating some. Just bring her a big batch of high quality papaya. :p If that fails, try a season lift ticket to the local ski resort.

And I barely cracked 16 MPH on my brief ride this morning despite riding very hard. (Much shorter and flatter than usual since I was sleeping in since I worked late last night.) Boy am I slow. :(

Get a fixie and spin down some hills. It'll increase your leg speed whether you want it to or not. Or you'll be pogoing out of the saddle. :p

It's not a leg speed issue. With it being a short, fast (relatively speaking), and flat-ish ride today, I was keeping my cadence around 100-110 RPM most of the time anyway. And briefly hit a sustained 125 RPM when a bus went by and I caught its draft for a while.
I just totally lack power. I can climb okay only because I'm a lightweight. And I currently lack any semblance of explosive power. It takes me forever to get up to cruising speed. Explosive power should return (what little I have, anyway) as I keep getting back in shape, though, since it's somewhat necessary to drag me up the 17% grade section of Mt Soledad.

Have you ever looked at incorporating plyometrics into your exercise routine? They're good precisely for cultivating explosive power.
