Foo - Whatcha doin'?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

eh...Moots is coming when?
Hang in there, Siu.
Five working days after it's been sent. And it hasn't been sent yet. *sigh*.
Goobers, those rates are fantastic!! (now where's my white wig?)
Ehhhh didn't sleep well last night, my bed hurts my lower back alot.
Plus my throat is sore. I have a feeling my air purifier is cycling dirt back into the air, because it's supposed to help my sinuses, and it's not.
Gotta go help carry someone who's getting out of the hospital up a few flights of stairs in her wheelchair sometime this morning.
Hehe goobers.
Hey, it's better than... than... ummm...
Well yeah, it's my name, so there. :p
Siu: No need for a wig -- just use chalk!

Oh, and for holidays: Ridiculously cheap flights to Hong Kong!

(But you've got to get to Canada first...)
Edit: And if you can convince them you're over 55, look at this: http://www.oasishongkong.com/ca/en/flights/hotdeals.aspx
Hong Kong is such a cool little city..well..actually not that little but fun city none the less.

Good morning all! BDG, have a good ride (lucky you...). Modo, what kind of research?
I am not 100% sure. I find so much of the function of the human body completely fascinating.
Probably oncology related research as I find that field to be the most fascintating (currently).
I think I'd like to work in a lab helping to research new medicines.

Good morning, Fooliens.
I just had my fastest morning commute ever, as far as I know. Just under 17MPH average. Hamer, consider thyself droped. (For reference, the fastest average I've noticed before has been 15MPH or less.)

Nope, gift basket stuff is all ridiculously well sealed and everything I brought in still has ~1 year left until the best before date :) all the questionable stuff got thrown out.

BikeWNC, I'm considering this TT (http://www.frenchbroadcyclingclassic.com/20860.html)in Asheville on Friday, July 20, and the RR (http://www.frenchbroadcyclingclassic.com/20829.html) the following day. You thinking of doing either of those? I'm definitely not doing the crit. EGAD! It's a 0.5-mile triangular course!

I might do the TT for fun. The TT on the 12th is on the same course and would be good to do to get familiar with the setup. I'm about an hour away from both the TT and the RR. If you need a place to stay after the TT let me know.

They're from after the fall. The pic at the finish line looks pretty bad because my saddle was coming lose so I had to sit on it pretty funny

Thanks :) The wreck wasn't too bad though, mostly just bruises and stuff that didn't really kick in until the day after!
Hopefully there isn't a repeat at my 24 hour race this weekend...

:o Well, I seem to remember the whole race being called off when I woke up, so it's not like you lost or anything ;).
Motorcycle Diaries is a fantastic movie, but it came out a few years ago. Definitely worth watching, but I might be a bit biased -- I have a bit of a personal connection to the places and times in the movie.

Thanks for the offer :), though I suspect I'll do better to stay closer to the RR site, assuming I go, as the Cat 4 women start at 8farkin'15am. Hopefully by then I am not only in better condition, but also have some personal things behind me, so that I feel I can take the time. It is pretty much gonna eat up that weekend.

Well, I have decide I just will not be able to achieve one of my goals. In town, the speed limit is 40 KPH and I have been trying to get a ticket. The police are just smiling and waving at me as I zip by. I really was looking forward to the experience of standing in a Costa Rican court having the police explain that they gave an old gringo geezer a ticket for speeding on a bike in town... it would have been priceless. :D
Our help told me there is no chance of succeeding even if I manage to hit 60 KPH in town - I am Don Fred and it would be disrespectful to give me a ticket... Humph!
Oh ANOTHER, nother bike Jon? Dang. You are beating me in "how many bikes to you own?".
Nah, not for me. My friend asked for my expert expertise to suggest him a frame and whatever other parts he'll need for a bike, knowing I'm super-knowledgeable on these types of things. He's going to buy whatever I tell him to get.
We're trying to transfer over as many parts from a 2001 GF tassajara as possible, but he needs a new fork at least, because I say so. :p

It's a web/software development company. the owner has apparently had a huge change of heart in the last few months he went from "rawr, the internet/fun is evil!" to buying us a Wii a few weeks ago :D
And all the walls upstairs where the devs live are white so we have tons of "screen" room, it's great.

Don't you remember? You said you were making brownies for me and Jon for Saturday. With nuts. Gotta have nuts.
I am Don Fred and it would be disrespectful to give me a ticket... Humph! You simply must test this theory. First, procure a rally car. Once you have mastered the art of rally racing, drive by one of the parked police cruisers. At 120 KM/H. Sideways. Facing them as you slide by. Smile and wave to them as you do so.
