you know, Im thinking it's a bat, somewhere hitting the window and then going in the blinds, so that would explain the strange sounds..

A bat seems like a pretty likely explanation. Have you taken either of your dogs to where the noise is coming from? If there's an animal in there they may be able to smell it or the dog might scare it into coming out so you know what it is. I've never dealt with a bat trapped in a house before so this is all just conjecture, it may be completely useless.

The vanilla is excellent, too. I'd never really realized that "vanilla ice cream" wasn't a synonym for "plain ice cream" until I had vanilla Haagen-Dazs. Vanilla is a flavor, people!

How do you cook your sea scallops VV?

I've never had any before. I've had calamari... well deep fried spicy calamari at chinese buffet, but that's about it.
A light marinade then I pop 'em on my grill over low heat. When they're done, there's a nice lemon-butter sauce waiting. :D A nice glass of dry sherry on the side is a fine complement. I prefer Sandeman Don Fino. :)

[note to self: pick up some more sherry while at the sto']


x, that and black cherry are my favs, followed by coffee and butter pecan. And, yes, the vanilla is quite nice, too. :D

BDG, I'll bet you're right. You'll have to camp out in that room tonight with a Maglight and a butterfly net. I suspect you'll have your answer in the morning! :eek: :p

Man I remeber that toy when I was a kid....so sad to hear nobody appreciates good ol classic playsets anymore.

Finally about to get my scallops on the grill. Had it all fired up about 8:30pm when my sister called with truck trouble. So, I turned off the grill, and headed out. No greater love hath a woman than to postpone grillin' sea scallops to go help her stranded sister. :)

So, I'm back. And farkin' hungry. Dammit. :D

jyo, to the extent possible, run water as hot as you can stand, and then quickly expose the mosquito bites to it. It'll stop the itchin' for hours. :)
