 I'm also puttering about ebay, though I won't buy anything. I think it's just funny what people try to sell.
I hate ebay. I don't know how or why people buy stuff of of there. And I have to sell stuff on it for a company I do work for :(

It's the ultimate example of a free market...all of your informational costs are gone, thanks to the internet. So all of people's wierdness shines through when they sell/buy stuff. You really become aware of the quirkiness of the human race in a place like that.

In regards to seeing seller's quirks i agree. I've only purchased one item off of ebay and while the transaction went through it was not a very comforting or pleasant experience. You'll always see buyer's quirks if you run an e-commerce store and monitor their feedback/e-mail :p This i know :D

It could also just be the fact that for the most part as a whole we are extremely used to buying things from a store that has a very standard procedure, where you checkout, pay, receive an email with tracking info and if you call you get an automated telephone that you have to navigate to get to a customer service that ultimately knows nothing.
Ebay brings people in touch with alot of smaller companies and individuals that a majority of the people as a whole wouldn't usually see or know about. People who aren't capable or just don't do the prior steps.

this newfangled intraweb thingy is definitely the most interesting thing to happen to the market in a long time. you are connected to people (all types of people) across the world with the press of a button. And sometimes, they are selling some pretty strange things. Like a bottle of pool water that Britney Spears swam in.

It's sometimes an uncomfortable place to buy, but it's a great place to sell. People will buy crap you were going to throw away! Out in the wide world there is someone who is just desperate for that dirty sock with no mate.

That sounds so cool. What's a good theme? Hmmmmmm..........
I'm about to go out to lunch.
Check the SS/FG for alleycat themes. There's a few already scheduled for 6/6/06. What city/town do you live in and what's it famous for? You could always make it pie themed.

I just got back from eating lunch. Went to the LES for a gyro. Didn't know I was gonna eat a gyro, but that's beside the point. It was too nice out not to go for a ride. Now I'm waiting for a conf. call to start and ragging on someone else for scheduling another call at 4 pm.

You can provide the option of answering the lentil trivia question or shotgun a cup of lentil soup. That should add hilarity to the proceedings.

Wal-mart is evil and doesn't do anything for its community. Stating that they sponsor alleycats is very contradictory to this statement. Please rescind this before the Democratic party descends upon you. :D

The camera is just a tool. It's the photographer that takes good or bad pics.
But, yeah, I know what you mean.
