they are at my house and fine now, just being kids like they should.
hubby is not around but I called one of my close friend and he is huge, he said he will come over here if this guy tries anything, so i feel better.

Guys, turn the testosterone down and chill. This is bf.net. The way to deal w/ this fool is to:
1. run over a crappy bike w/ your car
2. put the bike in your car
3. run over the wife-beater w/ the car
4. put the bike next to his body
5. call the cops and say, "He came outta nowhere"
You'll get off scot-free.

Do you guys remember that lady that I took riding a long long time ago? The one I wanted to get into cycling so she could lose weight in a low impact way? I just talked to her. She got a bike and was able to ride five blocks!! :D I told her it was a start and not to be discouraged. I'm going to take her riding this week! :)

Tool concert?
My friend Chris went to one and he remembers getting there, lighting up, then waking up the next day with a massive headache and missing $250.
I started a thread in road about using under armor for cycling. Oh yea.

Yeah, I'll make sure not to be in the mosh pit. I was once in a mosh pit and it was not pleasant. My claustrophobia settled in very, very fast. I actually got punched/elbowed in the kidneys that concert. Let me tell you, never again.
I am definitely looking forward to the concert though.

Went for a short run. The breeze felt awesome, and I felt a lot better than I did on my run yesterday.
Just chillin' in the lab until dinner time. I think I'll have to make a run to Wally World to pick up some food stuffs. Then I'll just relax tonight, do a load of laundry.

They are voluntarily evacuating where my friends vacation condo is - in Tahoe. That is where I go every summer. I might have to leave soon to help her empty out the place. Just waiting for a call.
Dang. So you might have to drive all the way over to Tahoe? Is the fire headed towards her house or something?
Let me know if you're leaving, so then I'll know whether the ride for Saturday is going down or not. Hope it all works out for your friend. :)

It's been really windy in Central Cali for awhile now, that's why the fire is becoming hard to control. It's really windy here in SSF right now. That's why I've really not wanted to get off my ass to ride.

Her condo has no residents in it, she uses it as a vacation home. As do I. It is fully furnished as if people live there. It's a three bedroom two story. All I have is an SUV. But it can tow pretty good. Or as Mich said, get a rental truck.
Got an email from my friend, looks like we're not riding, he got called into work. Could've have just called me instead of emailing me. Whatever.
If she is planning to clear the place out anyway, it would seem that doing so sooner rather than later would be a good plan. Not just because of the fire (duh), but to beat the rush of people evacuating or trying to get into town to rescue things and people. Renting a Uhaul would probably be a good idea, just in case. Cram as much into one trip as possible.

The main strip to Tahoe Keys is already clog-jammed. Besides, it will take us four hours to get there. She is not answering either of her phones so I'm wondering if she is already there.
I don't know Tahoe well, but is her house on the other side of the highway that they are trying to contain the fire from crossing?

They say that if you're unhappy your immune system takes a real beating. After a barrage of bad news, I've got a cold in the damn summer time. Usually eating right and exercizing will take care of my immune system, but not right now. The guys I work with smoke and eat fast food daily, and nobody's got my cold yet. Guess it's true. Happiness is the key to good health.

Yeah. But at this point, what can you do? The highway is clogged with residents and getting them out is more important than furniture.
Yep. That was what I had said earlier. I can't see much happening to protect her things other than the fire being contained.
