I believe I had well over 1500 in just suspension alone on it..
the engine and transmission are from a 1989 Dodge Daytona Shelby Z turbo
the underhood wiring harness came from a 1988 Chrysler Lebaron turbo
the transmission is a 555 getrag that was customized with a 3.50fd ratio compaired to the 3.85fd ratio (better for all around driving and keeping the RPM's lower on the freeway.. it had a T trak block posi and custom shortened Dodge Caravan axels (beefy)
I paid around 900 shipped for that..
ya know what? I'll start crying if I tally up how much I put into it.. ;)
I'll tell you this, the new owner got one hell of a deal and calls me about once a week to say thanks..
these were all orignally 60hp carburated vehicles..
from 60hp to around 250hp.. it's a super light weight also..
I just wanted something to haul my bike in ;)

Chris D., did you have intercoolers in those vehicles, and did you ever have an intercooler tube blowout?
Gotta get some sleep now. In principle, I have a 10am-ish ride tomorrow. :o
Beuh. :(
Wish Jack wasn't quite so friendly. ;)

yeah, I ran an intercooler from a 1990 Toyota Supra..
nothing flashy or bling about it, but they work great..
I used the same setup on my 1986 Dodge Omni GLH-T
on my 1987 Shelby GLHS I ran an Isuzu NPR turbo diesel intercooler in the nose..
I customized the nose to have a little more frontal flow and a different look..

http://www.hometown.aol.com/chargerturbo/images/intercooler.jpg
I modded the end tanks so they pointed strait down and it worked out pretty well..
It doesn't look pretty, but it tested good at 40psi..
I once had one of the couplers pop off under boost once, only because I forgot to tighten it down.
Loud sound and a severe loss of power, I was flippin out for a split second till I realized what happened.. :)
so whats with the pictures? share or your not nice! :)
I accidently fell asleep while talking to a friend of mine online. I feel horrible for letting that happen. I guess I'm just tired from working at both jobs. Well, I guess I'm heading off to bed. Good night and pleasant dreams everyone. I'll see you all in the morning. Ciao. *waves*

Good morning Foo.
Not feeling so great today, hopefully it goes away pretty quickly. I need to be healthy for Saturday since I have an 8 hour race, I need to be able to ride for at least 4 hours.
I set a new record at work for Wii golf last night! I'm quite proud of myself since I don't play it as much as the guys do :)

Morning Foo!
Strange feeling this morning. I did a lower body weightlifting routine this morning and my legs are still burning. On the bright side, I noticed I have some serious quads :). So well developed ,in fact, that they interfered with my ability to do lying hamstring curls. Now I have to figure out how to work on the hamstrings.
Oh well, got to finish off breakfast and go install my latest database so a couple people can start working with it this morning. Already had 2 e mails about it before 8:00am.
edit: Stupid crackberries....they sent the emails from their crackberries. They aren't coming in until later on this morning, and I can't set them up until they get here. grrrrrrrrr.

Try straight-leg deadlifts- they work wonders for your hammies and your guads won't interfere!

Morning Foo. Back to work tonight. Sad day, friends.
I miss this...

Hey, all. Back in one piece with two bikes and three legs. Still jetlagged, so I'm going to sleep now...
Good morning, y'alls.
So just yesterday I was saying it would be nice to have some variety in the weather once in a while, as opposed to the sunny & warm monotony of late. I wake up 15 minutes ago to a cloudy sky, and apparently not only is the temperature not supposed to break 80 degrees, but theres a small chance of rain this morning.
So I'd like to take this opportunity to say the following: It'd be nice if I had several million dollars.

I think that's one advantage to commuting by car, you never really see that stuff up close.
The downside to commuting by car is that you might hit cute and fuzzy bunnies and other woodland creatures. You could hit them w/ a bike too, but you can't make a car bunnyhop.

Why does it say that this goes to page 1527 if we are only on page 1525?
Rapplerousing methinks.

Apparently there's some discrepency on what pages are counting deleted and/or hidden posts in the totals. The Techies are looking into it.
What I'm doing? taking a little break from developing my new cycling website (see linky in sig - velobase.com).

Hopefully it won't rain here 'til late afternoon. I still have errands to run later today. But at least things are getting more under control. :)
And the juice is quite yummy, actually. Just needs a few minutes to settle. It's called Enlive! and I usually use it to quickly begin glycogen replacement immediately following a strenuous ride on road or trainer. Then I eat more solid carbs behind it with varying glycemic indices. Keeps my legs feeling ready to go each day.
Gonna throw on my ridin' clothes and pump my tires now. :)
