I'm recovering from my wifester's family reunion that we were hosting. I'm exhausted.

I finished up responding to the critiques of our paper, and now I'm getting started on some additional experiments to fill in the gaps. A good time will be had by all.

Does anyone remember Leisure-Suit Larry? I mean the original version? I only ever saw a later version, but I'm told the original was hilarious, as this guy could be made to do anything. Later versions were more conservative.

Oh yeah, those were some suh-weet graphics.

At least you have an excuse for the golf thing. I never played ball & don't have a decent swing. :o

It is the original? Episode One? 'Cause that one rocks. You have to type in what you want him to do, and he pretty much does it! Later versions limited his actions through icon choices. But that first version had a number of Easter eggs that were absolutely raunchy! :p

OH MAN! I just went to take a pic of the Moots leaned against my car and had it all centered. As soon as I snapped it, I noticed the results were off centered. I looked up in time to see the bike ROLLING!! I did a dive and saved not only my bike but didn't even drop my camera. Now I'm off to the shower clean the fresh driveway rash on my knee, thigh and hip. :(

But I saved the bike. :D

Sonofa.... I just realized something. This shifter housing isn't going to work. It's wider than my old ones, shifter housing is supposed to be less wide and this is as wide as the brake housings. It won't fit into my shifter. Uggg.

There's nothing wrong with Open Pro's. Plus with 32 spokes if you break one your ride isn't necessarily over.

Back from the beach. That was freaking fantastic! The clouds went away, and it turned into a really nice day. The water at the beach I go to stays shallow for a long ways out. I was in about shoulder-deep water when this fog rolls in. I can barely make out the outline of the beach and trees on shore. I swim out a bit further and can't see the shore, or the bottom of the water now. Completely surrounded by fog swimming in Lake Superior...gotta love it! :) That made my day.

Gotta run back home now and find some dinner before the group ride tonight. See ya later folks.

I just found out that one of the Physics Professors that works in my department along with his wife were killed while in California. Apparently, they were hit by a speeding motorist. He was a very nice man. He was one of the men who gave me the job here in the labs. Jeez, I can't believe it.
