I'm amazed. No, really. I had no idea I even had a walking stick. That's true talent....to steal what I didn't even know I had. I'll raise your pay cut to 20%. You need my stalking business.....and it's not that we don't need you, it's just that you need us more. 20%, I think that's more than fair. :D

:( That was me yesterday except add 17+ extra hours of working without sleep :p Today the sun is actually peaking out, thankfully it didn't decide to get any ideas from Flippin :p It seems your and flippin's weather have been conspiring.

Hang in there! Just daydream about your big ride tomorrow to help the time pass quickly. :)
Finishing off work. And trying to decide whether I want to assault Mt Baldy or do the LA Wheelman's Grand Tour on the 24th. Baldy plus a few blocks around my parents' place makes a perfect length birthday ride. The shortest route on the Grand Tour is a double metric. Currently, I'm leaning toward an assault on Baldy.
Oh, and I think I found a new ride partner. Nims (in the roadie forum)--the guy who proposed the idea of us trying to ride every day this month--and I have the same favorite hilly metric loop. We--and his roommate, a cat 4 racer--will be riding together this Sunday on that loop.
I want to assault Mt Baldy

Funny how in research, the end of the day is often slower to come than expected. Time to go home. And pay rent. ("Due" by the 1st, but no penalties until after the 3rd. Might as well earn a few extra days' interest.)

Well...woke up had breakfast in prep for the Saturday morning club ride. It's started raining around 8 am, ride was cancelled. :( Soooo...I'm going getting on the trainer for an hour withthe CTS TT DVD workout, then grocery shopping, then later I might meet up with my younger brother and catch a movie, since it's raining out. Last night I bought a used DVD (Pride & Prejudice) great story...good movie set in a very interesting era of history. Hope everyone gets to enjoy their weekend in some way. :)
jyossarian: hope you and the wife have fun with her new bike.
BDG: Be careful! ;) Or move where there are no trees.:p

They're fine...in moderation. They are pretty damn sweet, tho. I'm more of a dark chocolate guy, but they intrigued me so I bought some. Shoulda bought a smaller bag, really.:(

Good morning, all. After finishing work so late, I woke up later for my morning ride. Boy was it warm outside! Now I'm snacking a bit before either going to work or going to lunch (and then going to work).

Karldar! My wife is now the proud owner of a Kona. Does that mean she can be in the same club as you and SBW? The "My bike is way better than my riding abilities" club? :roflmao: (I hope my wife isn't lurking.) :D
I'm in the process of posting as many useless posts as I possibly can.
Why? you ask,
because I can

I HAVE no riding abilities. That's why I want to go to NC. So the bad boys over there can show me how to do it. She is welcome in our Kona Club. As soon as Kaldar starts one. :D

Just got back from the Heart & Stroke Ride for the Heart. I only did the 50km route cuz I'm lazy and it's too early to ride any farther. My cyclocomp went dead a few days ago when I was riding in the rain. Stupid rain. So I don't have any measurements for ride time or average speed. Anyways, here's a pic I snapped during one of the many stops I made to take pics.
