Foo - Whatcha doin'?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I'm on vacation! No work until next week! Also have the Lancaster ride on Sunday. Anyone not showing up is pretty much a poo face.

--- and I open my "oatmeal" and dump an envelope of hot chocolate (with EXTRA marshmallows) into my oatmeal.
So how did it taste? It sounds really good actually... I might have to try it. :)

My husband and I used to take one pack of maple and brown sugar oatmeal and one pack of regular, mix them, and hydrate with coffee. That was some good stuff! :)
Caspar, how's the migraine? Gone by now, I hope! :)

Yum! Having lunch: braised sea scallops with Vidalia onion, black olives, mushrooms, jalapeņos, tomatoes, fresh flat-leaf parsley and basil with a touch of garlic and lemon, over angelhair pasta. :)
It looks like I'm gathering strength (http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/08/15/storms/index.html) off the coast of Texas! Watch out!

Tropical storm eboo? Wow, I'd have thought they'd use a more familiar name like Erin or something.

eek. Do be safe. Hopefully it won't amount to much more than a light drizzle. Hurricanes are teh sux0rs.
rant:
All this work on shelves is starting to drive me nuts. I have maybe 2-3 weeks to reorganize all the labs. Gah!:cry:
Letting that out makes me feel a little better. :)

You got that right. I did hurricane damage inspections for a year and a half after Katrina and Rita.:(

We all work w/ crackheads!
I just had the most awesome lunch; hot dogs, baked beans, potato salad, and a big glass of milk.
This guy was sitting on my roof today, being squawked at and dive-bombed by crows...

Very cool Taerom
Trying to stay awake at work, today's dragging on. My co-worker and I came up with a list of "demands" for our workspace since we need to reorganize it to accommodate the way we work. These demands include things like drawers... I'd really, really like to be able to put pens and paper somewhere :( But only 2 more hours until I get to go home! Ride home will be ugly today, I am le tired.
Dang. I can't find the cleats to my shoes. I wanted to go for a ride on the clipless. :(

I'm going to go play around and on Mt. Shasta for a couple of days. :)
I think we will be leaving tomorrow morning. My legs aren't in any kind of shape to mountain bike/road bike and mountain climb.
What I read in the Union Tribune, San Diego's local newspaper, while eating lunch today: Chicago Tribune version of article (http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/chi-love_wedaug15,1,7424310.story)
I'm tired. Just did a long ride in the hills. Take nappy.

Almost 25% of the way to my fundraising goal for my ride this weekend ! May not sound like much but I started fund raising on short notice and set a pretty ambitious goal for myself.
Sweet, just had a meeting with the owner and GM and the entire company is probably getting shiny new iMacs :o We'll see if this goes anywhere (and if the get us the 24" ones that we all want)
The 24" ones ARE sweet, but I am equally happy with my 20". (but totally push for the bigger ones because, damn skippy, why not if your boss is paying for them?!)

We use "pair programming" where I work so having two people looking at the same 20" screen (which is what we've all got now) gets a little tricky, and you end up being a bit cozier with your co-workers than I ever want to be.
And one of the owners agreed that we need drawers :D Hooray!

I use my laptop for everything and sometimes wish the monitor was a little smaller - like when I'm looking at BF and someone walks by glancing at the screen
I have a strong feeling the bike shop didn't give me cleats with my bike. When I got home I emptied everything out of the bag that came with the bike onto my desk, and all I have is an owner's manual. No cleats, don't ever recall seeing cleats. Great. Now I need to spend 20$ on new ones. *sigh*
:(

I kinda doubt the bike shop would give you cleats with your bike (unless you specifically asked them to). I think most people would already have shoes with cleats, or would buy their own cleats when they get a bike.
I bought my shoes and pedals at the same time, and the cleats were included with the pedals.
For now, just duct tape your feet to your pedals. It will be good training.
Funny you say that. That was my original idea. Just duct tape my feet to the pedals. But then my shoes would get tape funkies all over them.
Siu thought the bike came with cleats, but maybe they never did. I have no recollection of ever seeing cleats. I wanna clip in!!! now!!! I might even put spds on my mtb too.
Biking home. Swinging by bakery first. I think I still owe jyo a cupcake.
Wondering what an Eboo tropical storm would feel like.

Feel like grabbing me one too Eboo? My ride home just takes me through offices and such, no bakeries or anything fun :(
"Taerom" sounds like a really powerful tropical storm. "Dude, that was no hurricane, it was a farkin' taerom!"
"Pheard" sounds like...nothing natural. A sh!tstorm, perhaps.
An Eboo tropical storm would be raining rum and molasses.
I could deal with a rum and molasses storm
What if "Eboo" were a tropical drink? What ingredients beside rum?
