Foo - Whatcha doin'?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm about to take the MTB out and mess around for a little bit. I was applying for a job online and their dang site crashed on me. Hopefully it'll be back up when I get back.

Just showed my co-worker who's boss via Wii Boxing (again). I am the office champ at that game :D Only been defeated twice to date.
Really productive morning, pushed out a fair bit of code. Did a full days worth of coding by 11:30 :) Hopefully this afternoon will be similar. Yesterday was a complete wash so it's good that we're making up time.
Hopefully I'll be able to get out on a bike tomorrow, haven't ridden since Sunday :(

Documenting the flow of data in database and associated process I created. Preparing for a meeting next week since the people who asked me to create this, and per their specs, are now questioning it.

Welcome to the world of I/T sonny. :)
The customer always knows what they want, but many of them can't spec their way to a glass of water from the cooler.
This morning I see a thread in e-mail about "What's this estimate for?". Well, let's see. You filled out the request with the codes that tell us to look at the problem and estimate how long it will take to make things work the way you want.

What's pissing me off is the fact that I simply automated what they were doing before, with the help of the manager that now wants me to explain it. I mean...DAMN! its the same crap they were doing before but now they just mash a button rather than create a bunch of vlookups in excel. Nothing new at all.

Then you should ride the SE ride for sure. I can easily get to 45 mph on the downhill. :D
Meh, I've hit 42mph here in the flatlands (and only weighin' as much as I do ;) ). But at least I can hammer up the grades and hills here, and don't need to be turtle-ishly patient doing so. :p

BikeWNC, I have nothing against big hills. I like to climb. And to, um, ride hard. I'm just not sure I can do it at such high altitude! :p

Especially since I'm still in the market for a good recurve.
I am -- killing my office, again, with brussel sprouts.
Ahhh paid this week, time to shake up the boring oatmeal, brussel sprout, banana, fish I've been eating lately.
hehe, the ladies don't even complain anymore ---- they are no longer sprout sensitive :D

I was just in a big old stose truck convoy. That was pretty cool.
About that archery pic Jon, is that GGP, Pacifica, or Oakland?
Nice pic, Pheard. I agree that you should post it in the pic thread.
VV, come join us for Baldy this weekend. I'll domestique for you and pace you up. merider1 can verify that I can do a pretty good job of pacing someone up a climb, and with proper encouragement and support, we (SoCal BikeForums riders) have managed to get most every rider successfully up to Baldy village and enjoying their experience. If you can comfortably hold 15-16 MPH on flat ground, I can get you to Baldy village. And there's a decent chance we'll hit 50 MPH on the descent. :D (No, we don't have to climb up the steep section. For scenic group riding, we take a more roundabout, more mellow route to the village, but for the top descending speeds, there's a different road with extremely fast, non-technical descending.) And once all that's done, you'll be feeling confident about the upcoming WNC ride.

Does that mean you're coming? :D If so, I need to prep my backup bike since you'd presumably borrow Vivian. And I need to let someone else know that I am now carrying cold water for you and pacing you up the mountain instead.

trsdin, I'll eat all the Brussels sprouts, liver and beets that you don't want. I'm sure you can reciprocate by eating something that I don't particularly care to eat.
c0urt, :roflmao: Thanks for sharing that. I'm gonna "Google" it just to laugh me a bit. And, a guaranteed bicycle smile is not the reason to hook your friend into a roadbike. There are too many factors at play here....

Nah, it's cold and rainy here. I'll just eat peanut butter out of the jar.
ehhhh...group ride is supposed to be tonight, at some really great trails I haven't been to lately. But every weather site I check says it's supposed to rain this evening. It's sprinkling right now. Haven't gotten an email or anything saying the ride is cancelled though. I just don't know if I should start getting ready for the ride, or assume it will rain and the ride will be cancelled, and just continue lounging around doing nothing for the rest of the night.

Chilling at work now that the day is done. Got some Wii Bowling in, co-workers are having a pretty good jam session. All in all good times, as the kids are saying these days.
Miss my pups though, didn't get to see them this morning and they'll probably be in bed when I get home :(
I just had the most wonderful dinner ever. Southwestern rice with grilled chicken. When I eat it, it feels like I'm becoming intoxicated. But really, I'm just getting dizzy from blowing on it too much because it's hot. By the time I'm done eating it, I'm ready to pass out.
Decided not to go to the group ride tonight. I just can't see myself riding a bike after eating this much food. :D Must digest...
Hey Foos! Just got back from the best day evar in the history of evar, because......... My son told me it was the best day he ever had with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We spent the day at the water park. Rode every waterslide they had. Waikiki Wipeout, rode it. The Flyin Hawaiin, rode it, The Pipeline, rode it, Pineapple Express, rode it, Kona Kooler, rode it, Waikiki Beach wave pool, tubed it. Ate pizza, guzzled gatorade and had a blast just being a kid with my kid.

40lb, take down recurve. Target was 80(not sure yards or feet) hay target. Got the bow when me and my best friend were 15 and we both met a guy down the street who hunts boars with his 90 lb compound bow. He has gonzo gorilla forearms.
