Foo - Whatcha doin'?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
How 'bout some spaghetti with some broiled salmon and tender asparagus? And perhaps some peppers thrown in for color. Maybe add a can of clams, too. Tasty, with minimal effort in preparation.
That sounds delicious. I have everything listed except clams - which I'm pretty sure the 4 year old wouldn't eat anyway. She might like the spaghetti if I whipped up some alfredo sauce. The rest of it would go under the catagory, "This is your food, not my food. I don't like your food. I like my food. You can eat this. Eat it all gone. I'm going to eat my food." I could go on predicting what she would say because she (and she's very well-loved and adorable) goes on and on like a leaky tap.
Home from work, and I got my mojo working. ESPN news is on the boob toob, trolling the web, and munching on a light dinner. Tomorrow? Work, then mad dash across town to catch the 2nd half of the US Pro race!
Work sucks. I hope it'll go by quickly for you.

Thanks. This weekend was a brutal one to have to work in terms of sporting events missed. England vs. Paraguay=missed. Women's US Pro race (9AM start tomorrow)=missed. Women's French Open final=missed. hmmpphhh!!!
What a time for my damn VCR to break, and I'm too broke to replace it right now. At least I can always ride! :D

Pick someone from a crowd at random, cut off a huge lock of their hair, then run!!! Whooppeeeeeee!!!
...always makes me feel better about life, and what a rush!
(hope you're feeling better soon)
BDG, hope you feel better soon. Sorry to hear about last night.
Whenever I'm really depressed, really annoyed, or unable to sleep, I jog around my apartment while watching TV. After 30-45 minutes of this, I'm too tired to care about anything else. :) Of course, you're probably a far better runner (seeing as I never run except when performing this ritual), so it might not work as well for you since you might not tire out.

right now, Im eating popcorn and drinking pepsi, then it's going to be about 12 dove chocolate.. then a pint of ice cream and if i dont feel better by then, Ill just take a long shower and repeat step 1.. ( my pants are getting tight)
I think I like your method better. Much more enjoyable than jogging 12 second laps around my living room. (Yes, it sometimes takes 200+ laps before I clear my mind.) A pint of ice cream is always great. Enough to be very enjoyable, yet small enough a portion for brain freeze to not take over.

Popcorn, pepsi (my favorite soft drink by the way) , choclate and ice cream!? Wow! I don't know whether to be hungry of have a stomach ache!! ha ha.:p
I had a date for lunch today. Nice girl, but no real connection or things in common. Worked on my new TT bike build, the sun poked out, so I went for a quick 20 mile ride. Man! It was windy!! Answered a few posts here on BF including BDG's drinking thread. Big smile to you BDG.:D Hope you get over this soon.:D I bought the Tarver vs Hokins Chamionship Fight on PPV because my brother is supposed to be coming over to watch it. But the little *hit is no where to be found... and the thing starts in an hour and a half! If there is no rain tomorrow, I'm gonna' do some "big miles" on the bike and then maybe crash on the couch and watch nascar or something.:p :)

Picked up the C'dale, almost ran my wife's van out of gas:lol:, and was just about talked into buying a Monster. The Multistrada is pretty sweet, too. Nothing's been finalized, but it's pretty much a tossup between Italian design and German engineering...ARGH! I do believe the sexy Italian steeds(along with their lower price tag) are winning this one, tho. Wasn't dressed for it today, but I'm going for some test rides next week.:D

You do look a lot alike.:D
After my first 5 day week of my new job, glad to have the weekend. I'm thoroughly bored though, went outside to take a spin in the church parking lot across the street. Was gunna ride off the 5 stair set and fool around, but they have church going on and fire trucks in the parking lot. It's also horribly foggy and around 60 degrees and my ears and hands went freezing fairly quickly. Therefore, I'm back to the house watching tv.
You do look a lot alike.:D
What a compliment! You must be the only person in the world to think that I'm as good looking as BDG. ;) That, or you think she's as bad looking as me, in which case you'd better start running before BDG chases you down and knocks you silly.

*thinks fast* No, see, I just meant that you could, possibly, maybe, look like, fraternal twins...who happened to be born about 14 years apart, not to mention the geographical challenges for the birth mother and whatnot.... Crap, they're not buying it! *makes a run for it*
 Make sure you run south, Karldar. Running north only brings you closer to BDG.
I'm kind of bored at work. Not much to do before 6 PM if I don't feel like cleaning up. (And I don't... that can wait until Monday.)

Okay, done with work. A bit disappointed with the day due to some mishaps in the team, but oh well, such is the nature of research. I think it's time to go destress with a nice fun drive.
Tomorrow, a bunch of SoCal roadies on the forum are riding together. A nice relaxed 40-odd mile flat ride. That should be fun. :) The only bad thing is that I'm driving about 4 times as far as I'm riding just to get there and back. Oh well, that's not much farther than I plan on driving tonight. (The difference, though, is that tomorrow's drive will be a boring run along the interstate.)
Oh, and I'm pretty sure one (or both) of my RAM sticks is starting to fail on me. (Symptoms started about two weeks ago and are getting steadily worse.) But I have no desire to deal with it now. Maybe I'll troubleshoot next weekend. Don't worry... I won't disappear from BikeForums. My laptop's RAM is still good; only my desktop is affected.
Good night, boys and girls.

You'd feel much better, Blondie, if you were sharing your chocolate.
Seriously, I hope that things work out with your friend however is best for you and your ongoing friendship.
DLO had spaghetti for dinner and we sat at the window watching the racing types training on our road - presumably because it's part of the course for an upcoming race. DLO is now convinced that she wants to race but first we have to lose the training wheels.

Just back from the store. Was at a friend's birthday party before that. Talked to the host about motorcycles most of the night. He's got a Kaw'...actually, his wife does too, now that I think about it. Just about got my mind made up on Ducati, but not sure whether to go with the Monster or Multistrada. Next week's test drive should settle that.;)
Gotta clean out the crockpot and get my spicy pork loin started.:) Mmm, pork! Also need to fix something to eat right now. Chocolate peanut butter sounds awfully good.:D

Those are pretty freakin' sweet! I would love to wait, but I've decided to go ahead and have my mid-life crisis coincide with my birthday this summer.:D Call it a preemptive strike. Who knows, I might wind up with one next year anyway. I figure my garage will soon be dedicated to bicycles and motorcycles only, if everything goes as planned.;)
I'm getting ready for bed. Pork roast should be done early afternoon sometime. Need to get some sour cream and cheese so I can have carnitas later. Not entirely necessary, but I think some fat might help cut the heat a bit. Have a good day, everyone!

I over-slept this morning. That's unusual for me...so a quick check of my e-mails and BF...woof down some breakfast...then drag my butt out onto the bike for a ride. This afternoon, I'll relax watching the "purty stock kars go round reel fast on TV."

I just finished my first century of the year.
The Rochester Tour de Cure.
I did 100 miles, or 101.6 miles, if you factor in the rest stops.
Completed in 4:36.02.
I also raised $1145 USD.
