I couldn't get off my bike today until my hunger for wings finally made me get off. Now I'm just giving my knees a rest and wondering if I can go to a late night show on Wed. night AND catch a 6 am flight Thurs. morning.

Oh that sucks! I rode over to a sandwhich joint to meet my bf for lunch today and we noticed that I had a flat as well! It was a little thorn from an alley I went down. Bf changed the tire for me before I finished my salad. What a sweetie! Yes, I'm a newbie and haven't changed a tire yet. I'm going to get a basic tool kit and a few lessons so I can help myself out if that happens again.
Pfffffft... Not only would I have fixed the flat, I would have cleaned your house, baked you a coffee cake, "convinced" your boss to give you a fat raise, and then rubbed your feet before you finished that salad.

I get as much excited by the ride as I get tired...it's that after-ride foodfest that kills me. I'm actually feeling better now, but I'm chilling out watching Italy vs. Ghana on the boob toob. ;)

BTW, anyone else have a harder time getting to sleep after a long ride? I know some distance runners who say the same thing, but haven't heard it as much from cyclists. Once I get to sleep I'm cool, but getting there is harder.
I usually have a hard time getting to sleep whatever the exercise. I usually stay up 3-4 hours after a mountain bike ride...whether I want to or not.

I'm not seeing anyone just yet.;) We are supposed to get together in a few weeks so I can show her around the Mystic, CT seacoast area. She's driving donw from N.H. I have no idea how that will go yet, but she seems very nice.:)

I met her online. She contacted me first.

She has a mt bike/hybrid but says she only rides a few miles at a time, because her butt gets sore after that.

Yes! You did say that out loud! :p :D ha ha....but I have no idea yet. If she stays overnight, it will probaby be at my place, so we'll just see how things go. I try not to overthink these things. What happens, happens. If it's not there (chemistry, connection etc....no worries, that's life.:)

Holy crap! Where to begin!? You guys are peppering me with questions here.

SBW...Glad you think I'm easy:) Is that an offer??:p hee hee I have a nice two bedroom apartment... it's just me there. Before I got divorced a few years ago, I already cooked most of the meals, did most of the cleaning, all the food shopping and the laundry every week. Nothing has changed now that I'm single. :) My place is clean and fairly neat...especailly the sheets and the bathroom...don't worry. ;) :p

FlippinSweet... I agree that a dirty bathroom is a big red flag to most people including me. And yes..I put the seat down. :D

As far as the sleeping arrangements, well....we'll just see how that works out. I've slept in the same bed with women, without you know..."sleeping with them in the adult sense" so that wouldn't make me uncomfortable, but you are all getting a little bit ahead of things. We haven't even gone on this little excursion yet!:rolleyes: :p It should be sometime in early to mid july when she comes to visit. Glad you are all so interested in my well being. ha ha Or is it just juicy gossip your looking for!:p
