BF was down last night, so I went to Gabbly, where I, for once, wasn't alone! :beer: I think I was doing a pretty good job keeping up with the conversations on, yeah, go ahead and say it, DIALUP. :mad: But after a while, my computer locked up, so I just shut it down and decided to watch a video instead.... I needs me a new computer. :(

And now, gotta get some lunch in me so I can get back to work. <slinkin' off to kitchen>

I'm sitting around the house waiting for the tile installer to get back from lunch. He said he'd be gone for 40 minutes...that was 2 hours ago :mad:
I was planning on going to do 3 days on the A.T. this weekend, but instead, I've been sitting around the freaking house waiting on contractors now for 2 days.
God I'll be glad when this kitchen remodel is over.

hey foosters.

just sitting down after a very productive day. went to cracker barrel for blueberry pancakes this morning. afterwards, got a few clothes washed, then headed out to get the mtb. stopped and got the car washed, got some chocolate gu from performance for tomorrow's metric, picked the bike up, stopped and bought 2 pair of jeans. when i got home, i waxed the car & cleaned inside a little more to my liking.

now, we're getting ready to go eat mexican for supper. afterwards, gotta get the fuji cleaned up and get stuff packed for riding. then.....it's only 5 more days until the SE BF Fall NC Mtn ride! yippeee! :) hope BikeWNC has saved some blueberries for me :D

I'm dome laundry and going through my closet to see what clothes I can give to the homeless/shelter.

I went to the farmer's market, where I was greeted with the smell of the guy tumble roasting green chili peppers. Everything is available now, so I spent a bunch of money. Pretty morning for it too.

I just finished splitting and stacking firewood, it must be fall....do ya think?

it is and now that i got that tool ive been able to tame some of my u999 beasts the bentley is strictly for A class racing. im not sure about pgr 4 looks great but the racing was kinda ween on pgr3

Just got home from flying my little RC planes with my brother, had a small fight on the way home.....

I found the pink and black stripey socks! :D :D :D They're more fuschia and black than pink and black, but I actually like that better. There were some other colors I ordered, too. I'm hoping they'll be nice. There are some internet businesses out there that sell some really neat socks and stockings. I had no idea...

I also realized that next weekend is the Polish Festival (http://www.portlandpolonia.org/festival/index.html) in Portland. Yay! :)

Well, I've been home about an hour and a half from my ride in Greenville. I met JayC & another friend when I got there.

We pretty much started out at the front of the ride and had a group of about 7-10 riders. Since it's so flat there, it was really easy to go fast:). My fastest lap (3mi) avg speed was 23.1mph!!!! Up until around 35-36mi, avg speed was 20.5mph. That was great till then. But, I'd been scooting all around my saddle to that point cause it was poking in all the wrong places:o. I didn't know that the next rest stop was only 5mi ahead or I would've waited till there to try to fix it. But I didn't and pulled off to fix.

No one waited and *snap fingers* like that, everyone was gone then. So, I made it on to the next rest stop, re-filled the bottles and had a little to eat. Got up with 2 guys leaving and rode with them for about 5mi...my left quad started cramping bad in the VMO muscle and behind my knee. I had to let up then and limp back towards the start. It was really hot too. Eventuallly, the SAG vehicle drove up and I caught a ride. Picked up another rider that was cramping as well.

Overall, it was a great ride. I'm really pleased with how well I did, even if I had to SAG in. 18.5avg, 2hr45min (approximate, but pretty damn close. turned the timer off on the Edge, but didn't turn Edge off. it recorded my ride back in the SAG vehicle). I don't feel too bad, considering I only had a piece of chicken breast and half a biscuit, 2 gels, 4 bottles fluid.

I got JayC to take a pic for me at the first rest stop...that's all I've got. Going too fast to take others...will post in a little while.

I drive a Honda. And nothing wrong with a Prius, sure beats 10mpg...about what you get?
