I need milk and sugar. It's the stimulant that has me hooked. Haven't tried coffee with honey though. I'd bet that would taste really interesting in Dunkin Donuts cinnamon coffee. Mmmmmmmmmmm
I'm a honey addict. I love the stuff. It tastes soooo good in coffee. Honey and cream is good too...try it! :)

I'll admit it...I'm a total Danny freak and I love almost everything he's ever composed. Oingo Boingo is one of my favorite bands.

cycle17 and hi565, sorry to hear about your days. :(
Thanks jschen!:D
I've come to the realization that if I can last until the end of htis year, it's time to find a new job. :( I don't know if I'll make it that long though...we'll see. In January of 2007, I could just walk away from it altogether, relocate to anywhere and not really have to worry. But financially, it would be better to get to the end of this year. I'm still trying to de-stress after today at work. That's when you know...it's time for a change. It really irritates me that I'm still trying to "let-go" of all the crap I had to endure at my job today. The work environment has been steadily declining, and shows no signs of turning around. Most of you who know me from here, know that I am and prefer to be upbeat and positive all the time. Today, they just kept beating me down. I've been there ten years, it will be sad to leave. Especially, since I helped building the company up from the day we opened the doors to HUGELY successful. But it's about time.:( That said...who knows where I'll be living next year...and what I'll be doing. Maybe I'll tend bar and get to ride even more!!:p That prospect is exciting!:)

Danny Elfman...one of the producers of Nightmare...he composed all of the music for the film (and a lot of other films) and he is the singing voice for Jack. He is also the singer and mastermind behind the band Oingo Boingo. LOL sorry for the confusion.

See, I wouldn't have known that. I love the movie, and love the character. But don't know anything more than "nightmare before christmas" and "tim burton".

Well, now you know! :) Elman and Burton are long time collaboraters. Danny has done soundtracks for almost all of Tim's movies. I'm a big Burton fan as well. :)
Nightmare is one of my favs. :D

Did you see "Corpse Bride", I really wasn't too big on that one. Disapointing for me.
Elfman's wife is a total kick too, when she was a teen she was a dancer with ZZ Top, trip!!
WOW did I have a big lunch today. Salmon burger, lot'o'bread with olive, bean, and artichoke dips (all of which rocked), lots of awesome salads...
I get so excited by food I can't save room for dessert. Probably a good thing, since eating this much pie would have me weighing in at about two tons.

Oingo Boingo. Haven't heard them in a while. I wonder if I still have my Oingo Boingo tape. A latte would be nice right about now too. This thread is full of ideas!

Jenna Elfman is actually Richard Elfman's son Bodhi's wife. :) Richard is Danny's brother and so that makes him her uncle in law?
Waiting on my coworker before we go take a short break to run a few quick errands. My main errand is to pick up my prescription sunglasses. The other pair will have to wait for about 2 weeks.

I still have my signed OB tape*!!! (well, it is actually the ex's....too bad he left it behind.... )
*notice, kids, we are refering to tapes here...not CD's: Age Alert!!
Back from my errands, with new glasses for outdoor activities. Since many of my rides are near sunrise, rather than go with full-blown sunglasses, I decided the Transitions lenses might be a better fit. Not nearly as dark as real sunglasses, but plenty dark enough. Especially for someone who's never used sunglasses before.
CM, you're still plenty young.

hello gang.. whoever is here at night, was a long day...
Sorry, no digital camera. :p
And you'll definitely say the same thing about the following:
The diamond stud earrings I bought for my sister (oldest of the three younger sisters) shipped. I should get them in time to give them to her in person this weekend. :) For the jealous girls out there, 0.31 carat per side, E color, VVS1 clarity, round ideal cut. Against a backdrop of platinum. Sorry, no pics of that, either.

Dayum! That's some high quality gems jsc! And +1 on the pics of the glasses. Maybe an action shot.
And no ish CM about the tape of Oingo Boingo. I tried converting my tapes to audio files once and it didn't sound too good. Guess I'll have to slowly replace my tape collection w/ CD's. There's so many though: Oingo Boingo, Bow Wow Wow, the English Beat, Scritti Politti, OMD, ABC, Wang Chung, Run DMC, the Fat Boys, LL Cool J, the Beastie Boys, the list goes on...

hummmm bling bling... the exact thing I have been trying to stay away from... but back in my days where I thought it was important.. I would have said.. EXCELLENT CHOICE!:D

Gotta make sure whatever I give her stays near the top of her collection forever. And it will remind her that her brother always encourages her to aim high in all that she does. I tried to aim on the small side, stressing quality--even beyond the point that one can readily discern--over size to be able to make that point.
As for the pics of the glasses, maybe at my next interesting bike ride. 1955 and I probably will ride Baldy together next weekend, so maybe then.

Ouch, a case of totally screwed up facts here, thanks for setting me straight:o Uncles in law are cool, especially if it's Danny Elfman.
PFGS just e-mailed again even though I haven't yet responded to her last e-mail. (I had wanted to wait a little so that it didn't seem like I was pestering her with lots of e-mails.) She hopes to arrange to meet with my prof sometime soon. (That's not news.) And hopes I'll be around. Hmm, maybe there's hope that something could come of this. What if my prof invites her to attend our group picnic next Saturday and tells me to show her around? (Not outside the realm of possibilities. I'm one of the goto people for showing people around.) Do I tell him that I can't make the picnic because I'm out of town for my birthday (my current RSVP), or do I drop my plans (among other things, bail on climbing Baldy with 1955) and oblige? Oh, who am I kidding? Of course I would "grudgingly oblige"!
Argh... need to stop daydreaming about PFGS and to get back to work. :(

Liz, it's not that your memory is poor. It's that Prospective Future Grad Student (PFGS) is new. Not to be confused with Prospective Grad Student (PGS), who ended up deciding to go to Harvard--why anyone would go there is beyond me :p --but with whom I'm still in touch by e-mail.
I met her on Thursday when giving a half hour tour of the lab (catering to non-scientists applying for non-science jobs at our institute). First I noticed a cutie in the group that I had to give a tour to. And then it turns out she's applying to grad school soon and very interested in the work our lab does. So I invited her to stick around after the tour so that I could show her some of the work the lab does, show her around the lab some more, and give her my e-mail and lab phone number in case she needed any more info. (And in return, she volunteered her e-mail address.) And I so enjoyed conversing with her that I'm now lovestruck. She just moved to the Los Angeles area, but she's hoping to land a chemistry job in the San Diego area.
And yes, cycle17 got teased a lot yesterday. :D

Too late. MSFT share prices haven't done so well in recent years. Better to try to woo single females who have been working for GOOG for a few years.
Not done with work, but I'm really hungry, so it's time for a dinner break.
