Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. The type of use would be dry or wet conditions but no trails or mud that I would be using the rims on. I like mavic does any one have any preferences? Thanks

I ride on Delgados on my serious cross bike as well as on the rear wheel of my fixie. Couldn't ask for a better wheel.

As I've heard, Sun Rhino Lites are just as awesome, but a bit cheaper. Other than that, DT Swiss TK7.1s are REALLY burly and freakin hot, but I think they're overkill. They feel kindof dead when you ride on them.

The Delgado might be an option but I am really stuck on the mavic rims. Also, the bike shops in my area all carry mavic. Does this mean I have to stick with mavic, no, but it is a good starting point. The soma double cross I am putting them on is used for my winter road bike. The hubs would probably have to be 36 hole if I plan to carry any weight, ie. panniers.

I use Mavic CXP 33's, and effectively use my cross bike as a mountain bike. I've taken them off of 2.5 ft. drops and they still hold true. Roll quick for the commute as well. I'm sure there's others just as burley, but I'm sticking with these for now.

I used 32-hole Open Pro's last season, and I had no problems.

I've been racing on Mavic MA3's and T221's for the past 3 seasons, and not had to true them yet
