no...the in go bike was made in '36 and '37, according to a quick web search. My friendly LBS has three of those sucka's stashed in their personal collection, and I never knew what they were called. They are fun to ride, though.

It was a weird duck, for sure. Forward motion was obtained by bouncing up and down on the platform in rythm with the eccentricity of the rear wheel. Bouncy, bouncy..

The 3 Stooges Movie Is 'Yes, We Have No Bonanzas' Curly is on an Ingo at the beginning, for about 15 seconds or so... I've built 120 Whymcycles, which are a modern day Ingo. 3 of them have 2 foot by three foot sprint car tires, so they are amphibious, as well as pretty fast on sand. Ingo's were made from 1934 to 1037. Does that help?

Yeah, Ingo's are cool, but they're fragile antiques, so no interest here. They were fragile new, actually.
My first one has been ridden by maybe 20,000 people in 19 years, a little welding now and then keeps it rolling, tho' the eccentric rear wheel is original, with occaisional spoke replacements. My Whymsies are far tougher, and I ship 'em for a lot less than a Grand (like 3 for that much.)... Ride 'em double, triple, backwards, two at once, one hand and foot on each. Ever try a Kunstrad? It's a fixy with 1 to 1 gear, for clowns and tricks, like pedalling backwards, to go backwards. Ride it on one wheel like a unicycle, yadda, yadda.

I'm sorta new on line, so the pix to show are on Flickr. Try 'Whymcycle', and follow the 'stream'. jump around to other 'tags'. Kinetic Sculpture Races are a fave. too. Bikes in mud, sand and long water crossings...
