General Cycling Discussion - A few interesting thing on my ride..

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I had to get some chrome polish and rust remover today and didn't feel like bugging my parents to take me to Wal Mart. So I hopped on the bike and made the 12 mile ride down there. Traffic in town was pretty bad but I whizzed right along. I was stopped at a light w/ a Wendy's on the corner. I look over at the Wendy's and see this old lady coming out of the drive thru w/ a bag of food on one of those motorized scooters. I couldn't stop looking, it looked so goofy. So motorized scooters are aloud in the drive thru but bikes aren't :( Then I saw a roadie on a tandem cranking up a good size hill all my himself, no amigo on the back.
Weather was amazing. It rained for a few hours this morning, but cleared up by 11 and was nice and sunny w/ a little cloud cover. It was a perfect 59 today :)
Oh and I stopped at Chipotle and got an excelent burrito :)
Good times, now for chores :(

I saw two bald eagles today, hunting along the ship canal in the heart of Seattle.

Today, I saw a couple 'saddling up' on a park bench about a metre from the bike track - completely oblivious to anyone passing by.

Some things I've seen and 1 I picked up. Kept the $20. A washing machine in the ditch another morning a leg cast and cructh then a lawnmower, weedeater and tricycle. I live in an interesting area with plenty of interesting people!

I started wondering how they got the horse onto the park bench, but I'm sure from all those Fosters adds that it means something else.

No , you misunterstood. They were just using the park bench to stand on while climbing up on to the horse. I don't know what the big deal is unless you are not permitted to horseback ride in the park. :)

Wow. There must have been a miracle that day. I've never seen that on any of my rides. . .
