I'll get some better pics, but here's my 1959 Capo Modell Campagnolo, working like a champ with its updated Campag. components: crankset, sealed BB, derailleurs, seat post, and toeclips. The Campag. shift levers and Weinmann brake system are original (cables and pads updated and upgraded for safety).

Nice!

What components were on it previously?

I bought my 1960 Capo Sieger because the chrome is pretty clean and because it has all of the original components, except the chainrings, which had been upgraded to Simplex aluminums. (Does anyone need a 6-bolt 58-tooth ring?) The original equipment list is: Campag. Gran Sport derailleurs, Agrati cottered steel cranks and road quill pedals, Weinmann Vainqueur 999 centerpull brakes, Ideale tensioned leather saddle, Caimi or Regina 5-speed freewheel, Campag. high-flange Record hubset. The Sieger ("Conqueror") was the racing version, with tubular tires, whereas the "Modell Campagnolo" was the American export version, with 27x1-1/4" clinchers. I figure it will be fun to have one near-original Capo and one updated Capo, with sort of complementary color schemes.
