set out at 3:00am,I Got about 1/2mile and she was skipping.cleaned the front cassettes it work for 1/4mile ended up having to take it really easy,Thank you any help would be nice.:)

Whayt kind of snow was it? Unless your chain was in dire need of lubricant and was stuck, I suspect the problem was related to ice build-up on the cogs. In such circumstances, it's easier to ride on larger cogs, because more teeth are gripping. So, if you have, say, 30-40-50 chainrings, it's better to ride on 50 / 25 than, say on 40 / 20 (in spite of a poorer chainline).

:) Thanks guys,for the info The snow was wetttt and heavvvy early november. I have already been on the the slopes this year. An once again thank you for the help.:)
