What's everyone's thoughts on the 03 BigHit Comp (which I'm about ready to buy) And YES I know it has a 24" rear wheel, which doesn't bother me at all.

What's the performance like, the climbing, and the descending? How much abuse can it really take?

Thanks guys!

It is a sweet bike. Freeride or Sport Class DH you should do fine with it. You can not put a 26" rim on it so you are commited to the 24".

I just bought that very bike 2 days ago and its frickin great. It climbs pretty good, but it does bob quite a bit if your standing up. I can tell you that it is a hell of alot smoother than my hardtail freeride bike and climbing up a specific hill was alot easier with the bighit. It descends so great....I dont really know how to say it. Its not a question of how much abuse the bike can take, its how much you can take and how big you can go because this bike can take anything (within reason of course). Just get it, you'll love it. The suspension is super gush. Go here also to read my whole story. http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?threadid=17057

Hey Klein MP ...

I noticed that it has the under-tube cabe routing... (because it's a monocoque frame) ... are the cables completely covered from the factory.. or do they leave any showing?

Thanks.

(just wanted to see if I had to go buy a THE Downtube fender.. heh)

:p

I didnt get a chance to build it, but I am pretty sure they come completly covered. And yea, they are completely covered on my bike.
