I`ve been trying to find a forum like this for the last 2 years since I became computer literate,I`ve been riding MTB`S for 14 years since they came to Australia about a year before then.I`ve been riding on my lonesome for the past 6 months due to our usual riding team started doing different shifts, injuries and just being plain and simple big pusses,I miss the banter between riders, who`s got the best bike, who`s got the best components and of course who won the jersey`s for the day.
Please give me a bit of stick for riding a Mongoose Full Susser or even just being an Aussie,I know our downhills and single track **** all over what you folks ride and no trouble about trail access
either.I should feel lucky about my 30 km commute to work,26 km`s of downhill, singletrack and hard uphills plus 4 km`s of cycleway.

You are an Aussie. We are not. So far we are one step ahead of you.

I'm ex-South Africa, so that makes it two steps ahead of you.

You think your trails **** over the rest of the world, eh? Dreamer. That means we are three steps ahead of you.

Add one step because you wanted some stick, and that adds up to four. That means you are a long way behind.

Your rugby team sucks, your cricket team sucks, your trails suck.

Is that enough stick for you?:D

Others can comment on your bike!:D

Welcome to the forums!!!

I`m assuming you might be over next year for the world cup where I`m sure you`ll be 5 steps behind,A springbok living in England `eh,interesting,Australia 1/300 Ist day of test.I buy a few Pommy Magazines and they carry on with trail access, can`t say I envy you lot over there, except those cloudy skies,I can`t seem to ride my best under the blazing sun over here.

You seem disappointed with my choice of bike,I realize that Mongoose over there is a Kmart Brand,But this Goose is a Dualie
Fairlane[W.T.B][with the business] and then some,a far cry from my Diamond Back Hard Tail Topanga I have ridden for the last 9 years[10,000km`s]

Hey Goose welcome to the forums. There is nothing wrong with Mongoose or Diamond Back both have made some very nice MTB's over the years.

We are getting a new MTB park built here that is 90 acres of trails from expert to beginner, can't wait till it opens.

CHEERS.

Mark

Just one of many living here. There is something like 300,000 and I think that there must be as many again in Oz. Rugby. We'll be there, someone has to clean the stadiums at the end of each game. Our team? Not so sure, but the bokke are getting better. In 10 months it might be different.

Sure, I miss the endless months of uninterrupted sunshine. March to October was almost blue skies every single hour of the day. Here, you adapt to the weather, and riding around does have a certain attraction in the english countryside, which makes the UK a beautiful country in general. There are no extremes. I think Scotland and remote parts of Wales are rugged, but you cannot get lost in the south east (because of road works you can get diverted, but never lost!). I'd love to see the outback of Oz, and some of the amazing areas all over the US and Canada (boy, are you guys blessed with open space or what!). No matter what people think, there are some really great rides close to me. Nothing like the Gibson desert, Moab, North Shore, but in their own way, the rides here are just as enjoyable, just as much fun, it's just that you, ahem, get wet a bit more often!
