so iam getting a bit of numbness downstairs where it feels like things have the asleep
sort of feeling. as soon as i stand up it goes away, iam thinking my seat is causing
this and iam sure this has been covered before, but thats what this thing is for right?
so i have tried adjusting the seatpost and i switched from a big heavy brooks b-67
to a light fizik rondine. any suggestions for seats that are good for this type thing
or is just to each his own?
thanks.

i found that the main cause of this is that you just haven't dialed your bike in exactly right for your body yet.

you might be sitting more on the front of the seat instead of centered and the sit bones on the back/wider part. It'll distribute the weight better if your sitbones are resting on the wing part of the seat so this way the 'sensitive' areas won't be under pressure. Try moving the seat forward a bit and see how that feels.

a bit of numbness downstairs

The angle of the seat has a bit to do with this also, you may try dropping the nose of the seat a bit, though some people swear that you should raise it a bit from level.

If you drop the nose too much, which doesn't take much of a drop, then your hurting other parts of your body. Your weight will want to slide down and that puts a lot more weight on your arms holding and pushing youself up the seat.
