Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - chainring bolt question

so i bought the park chainring nut wrench because one of my chainring bolts (Sugino 75) kinda spun when i tried tightening it which made it impossible to tighten. when i tried to use the park chainring nut wrench the teeth on the tool didn't match up with the back of the Sugino 75 bolts...also, somehow while trying to tighten the bolt down the bolt got stripped. So i have 2 questions. 1. i have only seen the park tool and a shimano chainring nut wrench but is there one specifically for Sugino? 2. I haven't really had to consider this before but because of this problem i'm facing i'm wondering if Sugino 75 chainring bolts are replaceable with other chainring bolts or can i just use any chainring bolt (single chainring bolt of course)?

Depending on how far your bolts protrude into the nut, you can probably get by with a wide screwdriver or a scrap of sheet metal.

I've found that the friction involved usually works in your favor when tightening chainring bolts, but sometimes the nut needs a little assistance to keep from turning. Most of the time just pressing against it with my thumb from the back is enough to keep it still until the bolt is torqued down as far as it needs to be.

If yours are still spinning on you, try putting a dab of grease or oil on the threads to sway the physics in your favor.

Linseed Oil on the threads.

also try a big washer in the back to hold the bolt, worked for me. And make sure you grease the threads

i had the same problem. i just filed the park tool down to fit the sugino bolts.
