I'll be in the Big Easy this weekend doing some volunteer work, and I'd love to spend a few dollars at a local bike shop or two in New Orleans. Recommendations?

theres westbank cycletry on the westbank in terrytown, the pedal shop not too far from that. And if you want vintage parts, theres whites home and bicycle on fourth street, marrero, the west bank. Theres some in new orleans itself [the east bank] but I dont use them, since they have bikeshops on the westbank [where I live] I would have to cross a bridge, or ferry, to get to the east bank. why bother  :D

I did business with Wallbike. There was a miscommunication during the order, but they made good immediately. My impression is that it's a good, honest company.

Wallbike is more of a mail order business... not really a place you can go to a browse... Although I bet he'd let you. :)

I frequent Bicycle Michaels, Plan B, and GNO Cyclery. I hear Adam's reopened in a new location after the storm, but I haven't been by yet.
