Hi folks,
Well my custom made frame came last week. So far I installed the front forks and gooseneck, installed the two crankshaft assemblies and put the rear brakes on.
Tonight I have to stop at the LBS for a front tire and 3 chains, yes 3. Two connected together for the front and one in back like a normal MTB.
It is going to be a SWEET ride! That chick magnet thread is very encouraging hehehe.
Oh yeah. Have your little black book all ready. With lots of blank pages :)
You should take some pics so we can see what it looks like and your work on it.

http://www.radiks.net/~ladue/ is Denny LaDue's website. His pictures are a bit old but you get the idea. I'll have a MTB rear wheel and my frame basically has a big X in the middle, not like the ones shown. Since I'm 6'6" it's pretty long too. With no wheels, end to end it's about the length of me.
I went to get chain tonight and he asked how many gears. To start with I only have a 5-speed rear wheel, will the chain have to change if I go up to a 6 or 7 speed rear wheel?
He probably asked so that he could get the proper width of chain; more gears means a narrower chain. In any case, you're going to need twice the length that a regualr bike requires as well...

Moving to 9 speed requires a different chain, rear cassette and shifters. likewise with the new 10 speeds.
