I've been car free for almost two years now. Got a tattoo that I thought some on the forums might appreciate. I figured car free living was the best place to put the picture.

I like it. Did you design it?

I told the artist what I wanted, and we found some pictures online and he sketched it out. I have no drawing skill what-so-ever

That's very neat. I am getting a bike tattoo soon, but I am not telling what it is until it's done ;)

Best not to tell or someone might steal the idea, and then you wouldn't be able to get it, knowing that someone else has it and stole it from you.

I respect getting tatoos for things/events/commemorations that the wearer deams to be very important to them. Things like their wedding, acceptance of Christ (don't laugh, I'm pretty sure it's been done), first child, death of a close friend, and in your case, being car free. I won't get one myself, but that's just me. What I don't respect is "I'm getting a tatoo that looks like bugs bunny or a flower just for the heck of it".

Anyway, good looking tatoo, DeafLamb!

iBarna, I'm curious to see how yours turns out.

i got a bike tattood on my calf about six months ago because a friend of mine was apprenticing and needed practice, so it was free/cheap (i tipped him).

while not one of my favorite bike tattoos, the integration with the bike is awesome.
