I am looking for a handybike wheesl or something similar in order to build my own folding bike.
The rear wheel is a 6 inch pneumatic wheel with freewheel.

I saw some handybikes on ebay but I just want the wheel.

You can buy the tires and inner tubes here: http://store.nycewheels.com/scooter-tires.html, but no wheels.

Some other questions:
1. Does anybody know how many teeth there are one a the rear cog of the handybike?
2. Any suggestions on building my own 6" rear pnuematic wheeel ?

It only says it is a 52/7 gear ratio. It could be 104T/14T gearset.
Anyway, which newsgroup would be most knowledgable about building my own wheel.
I was thinking that I could use some old mag wheel parts (bearings/axle/freewheel mount) and bend my own rim to a samll 6" Dia.

Any thoughts?

If you build your own wheels, copy the original design and machine the wheel out of a piece of aluminum. BTW I don't think there is a 104T chainring on there. The largest non-custom chainring that I am aware of it 67T if I remember right. And that is HUGE. Probably you won't be able to copy the gear ratio, unless you incorporate some sort of second transmission.

As far as I know the smallest rear free wheel cog is a 14T and the smallest rear sprocket that fit on a free-hubs is a 11T. Do you think that handybike created their own custom free-hub or free-wheel (aka smaller diameter) to enable the 7T rear cog?

That hunt for the handybike wheel continues. The only people on Ebay that have a handybike are from Germany, which may result in big shipping charges.

I don't know how they work or what kind of hub you need for that, but there are 9T drivers for BMX. You could make it a fixed gear bike and machine you own rear sprocket. And yes, they probably have their own freewheel/freehub/driver thing.
