I am getting an estimate on a used steel frame Swift folder from a LBS. It comes with a steel seatpost. Does anyone know where I could get a lighter seatpost replacement. It is my understanding the the Xootr seatpost wont fit. I was told that if I wanted a steel replacement (due to damage or theft) I could only get it from Peter at Swift.
Anyone with a steel frame have that concern?

I don't know what size the steel frame uses so it is difficult to comment. I definitely suggest going to Peter or the company out west that still sold some of the steel ones. I know you are set on the steel but ride one before you buy one. The aluminum version feels pretty darn strong to me and I am a big guy. I also love the fact that it will take a Dahon seatpost and that opens up a lot of options for lighweight aluminum, carbon fiber, telescopic, etc.
