It is not a lot of money but I'd spend a few more $$$ and buy a Dahon Boardwalk. At least if it broke you'd have a chance at getting replacement parts. Of course if $50 is what you have to spend then it is a moot point. However on eBay I've seen single speed Boardwalks go for about $100 or so. I'd pay the difference myself.

I only got $50 to spend, and no EBAY, I'm not allowed. Still live under parents house still live under parents rules.
And this is Canuck dollars, so thats the pocket change to your American stuff :p. I'm also not worried if something brakes, I'm creative enough and a good enough fabricator to fix it.

Could you pick this up or would you have to add shipping? If you can pick it up and you know some bike repair, I think it's an ok deal, as the condition seems to be pretty good. If you actually can inspect/test ride it, that would be even better.
Wethepeople,
If you are looking for a project where you get this bike and spend time and money making it able to meet your riding expectations, go for it.
However, if you are looking for a reliable folder that you can count on straight out of the box (if you know what I mean), I would suggest you to save some extra money and get a modern/slightly used folder, maybe an entr level Dahon or a Downtube.
Chances are that if you end up riding more than 10 miles a week, this bike will soon feel like it was a mistake, unless you are planning on investing some Time and $$$ on it.
I am no expert in the field, so feel free to ignore me. Just come back here and let us know how it goes.

I'm pretty much getting it as a project, screw around toy. Its the only type of bike I havent owned.
And it's in the same town as me so I can go look at it and give it a test ride.

Another forum member (jmbranum) owns a Graziella. Surely he can provide first hand experience of this particular bike: http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?p=1975800&highlight=graziella#post1975800

So like $50 Canadian is like free in US $$$ or you might have to pay us to take it. :D I live so close to Canada compared to the rest of the US I should have honorary Canadian citizenship by now.
For $50Can it wouldn't be a bad deal if you pick it up. Something to get you started anyway.
I'd say skip it unless you really can't save cash for a little bit. I feel a good folder is an amazing (additional) bike to have but that it is a pity to get one that is rather ehm, well... substandard. For 2 to 4 times that amount you can get a modern folder that IMO is literally 4 to 8 times as good in the long run.
Also i agree that this may very well ending up costing double or triple in 1 to 2 years time if you ride it any significant amount and want to keep it in good working order.
Unless you are going to really use it as a beater and invest no additional cash in whatever of course... i supposse if you like folders and want a better one (though this one will NOT give you a good impression of a modern folder) you can probably always sell it for almost the same.

From what you are saying, you are the kind of person who likes to tinker with things. As a "project" this thing could be fun, depending on what you want to do. If you want multiple gears and suspension, you are talking big bucks, but if you just want to see what it feels like to have a folder and mess with some simple parts(pedals, handlebar, etc.), I'd say go for it. I started my folding bike obsession with a Crescent Single Speed that wasn't even a folder...it comes apart in the middle. It did give me an idea of what it would be like to own a folder and I eventually ended up getting a Raleigh Twenty and putting lotsa $$$ into it to modernize. I'm eventually also going to buy a swift folder, and maybe even a downtube(you can never have too manyh bikes), but I still have the Crescent and love tooling around on it. Just make sure there is no serious damage to the frame,
