Touring - Pacific Crest Trail

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I'm interested in cycling along the Pacific Crest Trail.
Has anyone some experiences and/or can recommend suitable books and maps?

I've hiked sections of the PCT in the North Cascades. I don't think it's open to bicycles. I believe it's hikers and stock animals only.

The North Cascades are very spectacular scenery and well worth the trip.

I don't think it's open to bikes either. Isn't the continental divide trail though?

I'm at work and don't have time to pour through the site.
