You know, there's a reason for the 'For Sale' sub-forum (http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdisplay.php?f=213), and the fact that it's restricted to upgraded members.

330mm is not particularly long. 450 is what I would consider 'long' and they get longer from there. Inquire at your LBS, they have magical ordering powers if there's not one already on the shelf.

330mm is a decent size, anything more then that is usually "overkill" as Beerman says.

That all depends. I'm running a 450 (flipped backwards) on my flatland bike so I can grab the nose of the saddle and the bars in one hand.

Flipped backwards? I didn't even realize that they still made layback posts.

The post is straight, but the guts are setback.

edit: and Thomson posts are still very much available in bent-post layback style.

I try to avoid buying things that expensive when I know that I'm just going to cut it down to barely more than an inch long.

My Odyssey Senior and Intac are treating me quite well. Great for seatgrabs and toboggans, too.

There is no local bikeshop.
I only want to buy a new post.

I think I picked up this particular post for like 12 bucks out of a drawer at the last shop I worked at. And if I ever spent the money on a Thomson (not that I'd pay retail anyway), it's going on the road bike. ;)

Perhaps he doesn't want to spend forty bucks plus shipping on a used post?

God, this is getting tedious. You're neither good nor BAD enough to be funny. Your posts are utterly useless, and I'd ignore them if not for the fact that most of your data is screwed up and we have people here who may not necessarily be able to tell the difference.

um, where is my data messed up, I was simply busting his chops, captain cop mom.

Still waiting...
