Anyone ever had a first love... or even a second one... or third... get stuck in your head and everyonce in a while you wake up in a cold sweat at 4 in the morning thinking about them?

I don't pay much attention to it either, in fact it never crosses my mind but everyonce in a while I get these odd dreams and end up waking up at 4 in the morning.

Exactly.I just get on the bench or go for a ride when the ghosts of Christmas past come alive then they seem to disapear for a while.

Yes... you wake up and it feels so real... and you dont know weather to be thankful for that dream or completely hate the fact that they still haunt you.

For me...I guess that would depend on whether the dream was about the good parts of the old realtionship or the bad! But, yea...it's happened to me too. Not in a long time though. :)

Nope. I am blissfully ignorant of all emotion, good or bad, so this sort of thing never happens to me.
She had her reasons for doing what she did to me--no problemo. She left me for my (former) best friend, and they're living in that big ol' house up on the hill, and even though I see her riding around in her goshdarned stinking 8-series Beemer all the time, I just wish her all the best!

I don't know about the yikes, but I just can't remember dreaming about past loves. Maybe I do....in the dreams I can't remember....but those I do remember don't involve old loves.

The only vivid dreams that I usually have that I'll remember are noteworthy where I'm back in the Navy and after the 4th or 5th dream it seldom phases me when I wake up.

I used to have this dream, I think it happend sometime when I feel from my bike once where I was riding a roller coaster like bike track. I don't remember much except that every couple of minutes I would have that You're going to fall and never stop falling feeling. When that was a reoccurring dream I used to force myself to take control of my dreams. I've not had that dream in a long long time and thus am pretty lax about my controlling the dreams.

It's usually about him coming to visit us (our group of friends) and doing our usual fun rides, when we all used to go to the park. Then right when we are in the middle of a picnic, he gets up and says it's time to leave. And when we ask him to stay with us, he says he can't. Then he walks away.
Same dream every time. Sucks.
I've learned to accept that nobody ever really stays in your life.
