Tell me I need a Dahon Speed 7, please

I already have more bikes than a small LBS, but I came into a few hundred unexpected dollars recently and I'm smitten by a Dahon Speed 7 so I don't have to mess with the Yakima rack every time I go out of town. It would be used for casual riding, sightseeing on bike paths that run by my hotel, short-range transportation in strange towns--probably not more than 15 miles at a time, usually less, speed not really an issue; I just want a usable bike I can stick in the car trunk. Any issues I should be aware of?

I bought a 16 in picallo when my va disability was upped just because i wanted to try it. cool bike i also ordered a new BF the nNWT because I wanted another one.
And thank you taxpayers for paying for both. I am using both very well thank you and my karma has improved.

Actually, it has one characteristic I don't like about the lower end Dahon models, fixed height handlepost. I'm kind of short, and that would put the bars too high for me. I've got the Speed P8, same frame but different components, and I can lower the bars.

If the bar height is right for you, though, go for it. It looks like a great deal.

Good product and it will bypass your bike rack, so you do need one.

Hurry up, your LBS might only have one bike available now ! Maybe it's already too late ! Don't just sit there, hop on the bus and go! Don't bike your way up there, take the bus, cos you wanna bike home on your NEW horse right away!!! It's Saturday, you have the time now, buy it, ride it, fold it, stow it in the trunk of your car.
Okay, you might be thinking: 'do I need it?', the answer is: NO, but you have the money and you wanna spend it, you won't sleep tonight if you don't get it.
It's there, oh my god its there !!! Look ! You're passing your local LBS and it's just there, man! Waiting for you to take it home. It's made for you, it's the bike you've always wanted ! It's shining, look at the frame, the nice paint, those beautiful new tyres....
Now open the door of the BS, step inside, go for your target, feel it, smell those new tyres, feel the soft saddle, the power of the V-brakes, man ! Oops, their comes the BS-owner! It's now or never !!!!!!!

Why do you even ask? Go get the thing already and tell us how you like it. BTW, if you eventually think you want a little more adjustment in the bar height, you can always order the adjustable stem from Gaerlan Cycles online, or have your Dahon carrying LBS order it for you...isn't that what we live for? Buying more toys to personalize our rides?:) juan162
