Mountain Biking - Anyone got a clue what this frame is?

I picked the frame and forks up insanely/suspicously cheap, they were in good condition so I decided to add my own components and name it project beast, its basically just something I can crash without worrying too much if I snap the frame in two.

The wheels also came with it aswell, they are Rigida and thats all I know and the rear one was virtually brand new, the frame forks and wheels cost me 30 english pounds, and I've been adding my own choice of running gear, riser bar, shifters etc.

So I'm just curious if anyone has any ideas?

Well, the frame looks really weak, and theres not much to say about the fork. I wouldent expect it to last very long, and personally, I wouldent ride it at all.

Yeah the way the frame is shaped does look like the designer needed a physics lesson, but I'm not a bike snob like some, like I said its something I can ride into the ground and not worry about busting.

I leave my scott for the less cupid stunts. Like earlier when the local river was a bit on the flooded side, sod going around it, although I was suprised when I started pedalling underwater, I thought it would only be a few inches, but the bank had subsided.

Its not that shape that I would be worried about, alot of bike manufactures use to make Y frames like that. I was just thinking about how thin the tubes are.

I think that pic prolly makes it look a bit thinner than it is, I've done some pretty hairy jumps and dropoffs on it, but the tube is pretty thin towards the bottom bracket, not sure how much stress goes thru there or gets asorbed by the shock, but its only a cheapo thing that I built with the help of making mates at the local bike shop for bits n peices.

Most of the components I've bought/blagged are good though, so if the frame does eventually go snap I'll prolly get a decent frame and then I'll still have a 2nd bike, I prefer my hardtail for nice smoother rides with more sliding about rather than drops and jumps. Mainly due too the fact the HT cost me around 800.

Yeah same shape, and the pivot point for the shock is the same,, but mines a fair bit chunkier than that, and the stem is certainly different, looks like that one came of a chopper :D
