General Cycling Discussion - It would be nice to own one of these two bikes.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

If this bike isn't something to lust over, then what?

If you don't like cyclocross then you would lust over it. Nice looking bike but I prefer

Or any number of other freeride bikes :)
Numbered from 001 to 0035, the 001 model will be exhibited at Giant Inc. in Taiwan, whilst 007 already has its destination decided as well - the UK, where a James Bond fanatic will become the proud owner. http://www.giantbicycles.com/us/000.000.000/000.000.000.asp?lArticleID=11252 Seems to me it's numbered 0001 to whatever. I'll bet that Bond nut's gonna be p'oed:crash:

Yech. Aside from the fact that gold plating is almost always ugly, telegraphing the message "I'm trying to look classy but I just don't know how," who would want a bike that's not intended to be ridden? Who would lust after such a bike, other than people who like to hang unusual things on their walls?
No thanks.

i'm sorry, but there is no bike uglier than that banshee freeride bike...i think that in general, freeride bikes are hideous because that long travel rear shock distorts the whole look of the bike

Ugly can be beautiful too... think about the A-10 ThunderboltII (Waghort), the Alvis Stalwart 6x6, and some would consider modern skyscrapers architecturally ugly. It all depends on the "lighting" and the viewer. That said, the look of most freeride and extreme downhill bikes like the Banshee don't appeal to me either but that's just personal preference.
