BMX - Next Gen Holmes...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Yes, I realized there are many threads about this, but none of them talk about the aspects of it. What do you think about the frame, as I may have an oppurtunity of getting one.

I'm in love with s&m products. No matter what it is they make it just works. I rode with a guy years ago that had the original holmes and he beat the poo out of it. It was a very nice frame an at the time I had no idea what to look for in a bmx frame. We rode street and dirt jumps.
Flash forward to today and I have a ng dirt bike. I've beat the crap out of it. It doesn't brake it asks for nothing from me but more riding. On the downside, it's a pig.

As awesome as that frame was, it's been obsolete for half a decade; if you want a strong, seven-plus pound frame, though, check it out. Don't expect to run 14mm axles without taking a Dremel to it, though.

In other words, I'm probably not going to break it... which is a start.. or I could get a WTP 4 seasons for about the same price... whatcha think?

Here's an idea, wait more than ten minutes when waiting for a response.
How much are you planning on spending on either of these frames?

One, I've waited a few hours, check the times. Two, both are on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/BMX-S-M-Next-Generation-Holmes-Bike_W0QQitemZ7217319818QQcategoryZ98082QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

... and i can get both for about the same price.. Which do you think is the better deal?

I'd take the Dirtbike; I've seen way too many Four Seasons break.

But, I'm only 14 years old 5'5'', 120.. the bike has a 21'' tt.. which is a bit large for a kid my size.. and I don't think I'm really going to break it.. unless I do something pretty stupid..

S&M Dirtbike. Good suggestion.
